Interview experience

I was called on a Monday for a Friday interview with the Dispatch Manager in Billings. Had to pay for a portion of the airfare ($70), but it was still worth it. Was met in the ticketing area at BIL and driven to SOC where the interview was conducted by the DIspatch Manager only. I was asked a couple of simple HR questions; Where do you see yourself in five years? What are your best characteristics? Also, had to read metars, tafs, sigmets, etc to demonstrate basic knowkledge. Talked about where the company was headed and that was it. Interview lasted maybe 15 minutes, and then we went down to the SOC (very small, 6 packed in desks, great view of the ridge) and I had the opportunity to visit with a couple of dispatchers-all nice guys. Starting pay was $10.49 and benefits were ok at best. They put me up in a motel for the night and the Dispatch Manager brought me out to dinner with his wife- which was an unexpected bonus. Was offered a position the following Monday, but had to turn it down for a different one. Good experience though, great hospitality.
