Interview started promptly at 08:00 as I was met at the front desk and taken into an office area where I handed over my logbooks and identification, licenses, medical, etc., After about a seven minute wait they led me to meeting room with two other people present. They were the chief pilot and two experienced HR specialists. After exchanging names the process began with tell me about your flying career and how it matches up to your resume. That was an opportunity to explain a summary of each former pilot position held and the positive experiences I gained from each. This took about twelve to fifteen minutes after which the three professionals took turns asking... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

  1. Sep 15, 2023 I can't say enough good things about this interview. Applied, then texted the recruiter number several days later. I received a phone call almost immediately after I texted. I talked to the HR specialist who then set me up with a Teams call with Bob and Dan for the next morning. That went very well, and I was immediately invited to interview in Phoenix, and was given a same-day out and back flight reservation. I arrived to the interview with one other applicant and only Dan (Bob couldn't... Continue reading this interview experience

  2. Sep 14, 2023 Everything everyone has submitted is spot on. Amazing experience from start to finish on the day of the interview. At the interview itself the pilots have a rolodex from which they pick random questions. I was asked Tell me about yourself to start after they talked talked about their backgrounds. Then I was asked 3 technical questions of which were all were on this study guide. Following that I was asked 2 Tell me about a time type questions all of which again are on the study guide. Be... 3. Sep 11, 2023 Interviewed at the Open House in Miami at the Training Center. My interview was at 11:15AM with Bob, Director of Operations at ABX and Dan the Director of Training. Both were very friendly and interested in my previous 767 experience since I am already typed. They collected my Logbook(s), licenses, medical, FCC license, passport and went through my resume and asked me if the information was accurate. Interview was very relaxed as they just wanted to get to know you. They asked me questions... Continue reading this interview experience

  4. Aug 11, 2023 Very personable and straightforward. IFR standard stuff. Brief a plate and know holding entries. They want to hire you if you are a qualified pilot. Relax and show them you are a teachable and hard working person and all will go well. All in all, I was there for a little over an hour, and they hired me on the spot. Great company and I look forward to working for them on the... Continue reading this interview experience

  5. Aug 10, 2023 In person interview. HR: Was only asked why ABX air? Technical: Very basic Jeppesen chart: What is the top altitude, do you need GPS to fly the STAR, what is TDZE? Where do you find HS 1 information? No SIM evaluation, it was mostly introducing the company and seeing if you could blend in with the company. Short and concise. Got the cjo right after the interview. It seems like they are hiring people who show up for the in-person interview. Very relaxed interview overall. Getting a hold of... 7. Jun 29, 2023 I interviewed at their open house event in CVG. Very informal, and mostly reflective of the interviews I had read about on this site. I was given a brief description of the company, and then asked to do a SIM Eval since I had 767 time a hundred years ago but was not current. I headed to Wilmington and was put into the SIM with a with a very nice man. (view the sim/scenario section in the study guide of this website).  I also had the opportunity to sit in on a couple of training... Continue reading this interview experience

  8. May 09, 2023 Extremely laid back. HR asked about your resume and a few personal questions. Director of Operations checked your log book and asked a few questions on SID's, STAR'S and Approach plate. It lasted about 30 mins and they then asked you to step outside for 10 - 15 mins while they compared notes. You will then get called back inside to hear your... 9. May 09, 2023 Very laid back interview and company. It helped that I did my ATP-CTP with Airborne (A company under the parent company ATSG). Simple IFR questions were asked with a mixture of 121 realm questions. Not much different than the 135 interviews I have done, which I was not expecting. The questions that are on this study guide are pretty accurate to what I was... Continue reading this interview experience

  10. May 05, 2023 Very laid back experience. So laid back, in fact, that they forgot to give me my hotel reservation. Was able to get it sorted out with an extra email, no worries. Was interviewed by 2 retired pilots now working in management. The HR questions seemed to be more of a "we have to ask you these but we aren't really worried about your answer" thing. They asked me what question I would ask an interviewee if I was trying to hire a pilot. The technical portion was straightforward as well,... Continue reading this interview experience

  11. Jason F

    (Hired at ABX Air)

    Service was right on

    Chase L

    (Hired at ABX Air)

This proved to be an invaluable service! Would not have been able to do as well as I did on the interview without it.
