Interview started with a telephone interview from Mr. White. He mainly confirmed that I was willing/legal to work as I indicated on the application and asked a few basic HR questions (Can you relocate? Have you had a student fail a checkride? What makes you stressed?). At the end of the call, he offered me a chance to come to Columbus for an interview at AirNet's HQ. The date of this interview was only a few days after the telephone interview, but I got the impression that this was abnormal.

I flew in late the night before my interview and arrived at the Baymont Inn at 1am. This was a terrible idea because I was tired for the interview, did not get to practice on their sim, and constantly felt rushed throughout the whole process. Try to schedule things as early as you can and keep your stress levels down. It's not easy to fly the Frasca 142 when you're punch-drunk tired.

The interview at the company started as soon as I arrived even though I got their 15 minutes early! How's that for service!? The process began with a tour of the company and an overview powerpoint presentation. Mr. White was quite helpful, entertaining, and informative as he showed me around their maintenance facility and offices.

  3. I interviewed for the SIC Learjet 35 position at AirNet 2, which is a cargo charter. Interviewer overall was very welcoming and it was a pleasant experience. There were 2 interviews in total. both on the phone, first one just basic HR questions and asking about your work history. The second one was with the chief pilot and directors of operations. Basic IFR questions. The company really appreciated that I did some research about what they do and what the fleet looks like. Upon hiring they... Continue reading this interview experience

  6. Hi everyone.... hope my experience with Airnet helps others any way here's the scoop. Flew in on an Airnet   Lear 35a to Ohio  the morning before the interview so i could get some practice in the Frasca. The crew going out was very friendly and talkative. It was an eye opener . Flew the sim for one hour to practice the day before . That sim is so squirley I cannot believe anyone does well in it . I have flown Ftd;s level 4 and level D sims but none acted like this sim... 7. alright to start i flew out of midway on one of their company lears to LCK (rickenbacker, OH). i was nervous like everybody else was but i began to calm down once i saw the demeanor of airnet employees. they aren't up tight at all and they try to have as much fun at work as possible. the flight took about an hour and once i got to klck, i walked to the baymont that's right on the field. there isn't a shuttle to or from the hotel after 11pm, so i was outta luck and had to lug my bags.... 8. Other reports here were spot on. Morning consisted of a tour of the facility, presentation all about the company, and plenty of poking fun at the airlines. Not caring for the airlines myself, I enjoyed this immensely. Following was lunch, and then the 3 part interview- 60 question written test, face to face technical interview with Craig Washka, and the sim ride. I'm not going to retype everything that is talked about or how the sim ride goes, because it's all written in the previous... Continue reading this interview experience

  9. If you read the other Gouges, you will find everyone who goes to AIRNET will probably have the same experience I did. Great bunch of people there. It is a real family type organization and you learn everyone by their first names and have FUN at work. Anyway, the hardest thing for me was the SIM that you will do about halfway through your interview day. You just need to set up the sim so that you can take away your hands and it won't be sending you 30 degrees to the left or right of... Continue reading this interview experience

  10. Flew into LCK on an Airnet flight the night before, I was slightly concerned about the Navajo I flew in on when I first looked at it, but everything inside of it worked, which I can't say about most of our flight school airplanes. That and the fact as soon as the engines stopped, two mechanics were checking it out. Stayed at the nearby hotel ($42 is a good deal, at least half off the internet rate.) It's a 5 min walk, so unless you're really lazy(which I usually am) or the Wx is really... Continue reading this interview experience
