Interview was very similar to what was described. Everyone very nice and welcoming. A Kalitta shuttle picks you up at ~745 am from the Holiday Inn Express. You say a quick 'hi' to the HR room, before they bring you to an upstairs classroom which is basically the holding tank while you wait for the various parts of the interview to take place. This room was very well catered....muffins, croissants, Danishes, fruits, drinks. There were a couple HR folks who were with us the entire day, plus various Kalitta training / management people would pop in periodically to say hi and mingle. There was also a very nice catered lunch from a local sub shop that was delivered at noon. The... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

  1. Mar 20, 2024 Very straightforward, just an HR interview. No systems or technical studying required. Be friendly and like all interviews. Its summarized by "do you play nice with... Continue reading this interview experience

  2. Feb 28, 2024 The interview was very laid-back , just asked about previous company and type of aircraft you have , why Kalitta Air. , what type is your preference , Any failure on test or check ride , legal question like have you ever arrested or DOI , flexibility on schedule , How soon you can join , and any question you have from them , just 15 min... 3. Dec 08, 2023 The interview experience can be described as being remarkably straightforward and in line with expectations. The questions posed were not overly challenging, adhering closely to what could be anticipated or prepared for, often referred to as "straight from the gouge." The overall tone of the interview leaned towards being relaxed and friendly, emphasizing a "get to know you" approach. Rather than delving into intricate or technical inquiries, the conversation focused on... Continue reading this interview experience

  4. Nov 22, 2023 Super chilled interview. HR and a chief pilot. Quick and to the point. Way more of a personality test. Just simply questions as to why K4. Over within 10 minutes. I got a response within 24 hours of completing the interview. Just know about K4, have some good answers if you’ve ever failed anything or have a gap on your resume. Be professional but have a laugh. It was a great experience. They make you want to work there. The big emphasis seemed to come back to working for a... Continue reading this interview experience

  5. Nov 07, 2023 The gouge was spot on. I was interviewed by the chief pilot and HR. They were very professional and the interview was more of a conversation than an interview. I believe I asked more questions than either of them. There was a pre-interview a week earlier where I was asked a list of expected questions. I can not recall them but there would be no need to prepare for them as they were very straight forward standard questions of any interview. As with any interview you need to present... 6. Nov 01, 2023 Very relaxed, they just want to know if you’re willing to work in with their kind of flying and roster. 16-17 on and 13-14 off with almost all long haul flying. Aircraft choice is up to you but also depends how soon you want to start so if one is available for a class date sooner and that’s what you want then be sure to mention. Extremely friendly people and all around great experience. No technical questions asked, very basic HR... Continue reading this interview experience

  7. Oct 11, 2023 Very Straightforward interviews. First telephone interview with manager of flight standards. Usual HR questions. Mostly get to know you, verify your experience and learn what you are looking for. Second zoom interview set up with HR person and chief pilot a week later. Chief pilot couldn't make it on the day so second interview with HR. Talked through when I could start and answered any questions I had. Formal offer arrived a couple of days later. Super friendly and one of the most... Continue reading this interview experience

  8. Oct 08, 2023 Saw the Kalitta Air booth at RTAG and provided my resume. I had an interview with the company the next day. They were very professional and very proud of their company. They did not ask me any technical questions. Asked about my background, why I was interested in Kalitta Air. Got the feeling half the interview was them trying to figure out if I would be comfortable in their system (I believe it is 16 days on, 14 days off.) Still waiting to hear back. Not much you can prepare for it. Just be... Continue reading this interview experience

  9. Sep 27, 2023 Easy peasy; it took 10 minutes on Teams. Just be yourself. Keep it positive. Why do you what to join Kalitta Air? Tell me about your training and/or checking event failures. Take responsibility for the things that didn't go as desired in life. For you younger people, it may not have happened yet, but give it time. Life will unfairly disappoint you. Just be the responsible party and keep trying. The interviewing team will respect... Continue reading this interview experience

  10. Sep 20, 2023 After submitting my resume, they called me to schedule an interview after 2 weeks. And I got an interview after 2 days. It was a very straight forward teams interview. It took like 15min. They asked about my previous experience and any fails. There were no Tech questions. It was with one HR lady and Chief pilot. I got a call the next day about a...
