All expenses were paid. I was flown in to Chicago, then on another flight to South Bend, Indiana. I was given a rental car. I stayed at a Hampton Inn in Southbend. In the morning, made my way 14 miles to the north, IN MICHIGAN, to a little airport where there is a sim and classroom building associated with a college. Then I had to drive approx. 30 minutes to Elkhard, IN for the interview. (By the end of the day, you will have travelled to four states: your state, Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana, ((btw) however, it's all close together in distance).  Then Sim, (view the Sim/Scenario section of this... 1. Met with Chief Pilot and Director of Safety who was my FO for the Sim Evaluation. (view the sim/scenario section of this website).  After the Sim I was interviewed by HR which went well. I was sent for a drug test.. on arrival at the airport for my flight back home I received a call indicating that HR is ready to make an offer based on my drug test results .. great... 3. Pretty laid back, applied and got a phone call from HR the next day. Set up interview date of my choice. Got there and did a sim assessment.  (view the Sim/Scenario section of this website). After we went to main office to do the HR interview which was basically a getting to know you conversation, no tricks. Was offered the job which I accepted then went to get my drug test done. Really really nice folks there, everyone wants you to... Continue reading this interview experience

  5. (I submitted a SIM Scenario separately too) Mike, the safety officer for the company was the interviewer and was very friendly, helpful. He had me and the other interviewee use his iPad (with Jeppview) to review (he reviewed the LaGuardia RWY 13 departure and the Maspeth Climb and the Teterboro ILS) though I briefed the approach when I was acting as FO. Mike said the point was not to eliminate or disqualify us, but simply to check that we could fly the aircraft under IFR. Apparently... Continue reading this interview experience

  7. The process was laid back and stress free. Everything I read in this prep site was spot on. Just fly the sim ask any question you may have before you start. It was fun. I can honestly say I enjoyed the interview. Did a drug test right after the interview and was offered the job after the test results came... Continue reading this interview experience

  8. I was flown to South Bend the day before my interview, then as others have mentioned. Then Sim. (view the Sim/Scenario section of this website). This was followed up with the HR interview and a tour of the company. Really low stresss, everyone was more than... Continue reading this interview experience

  9. The interview was very professional and informative. Started with short SIM ride in non-motion SIM to check basic instrument skills and handling. This was followed by a tour of the company facility and an interview with HR personnel. No "trick" questions, just basic, non-technical items; what do you do in your time off, what are your strong points etc. Everyone was very open and candid about the... 10. Interview was just as expected. Received an email confirming email and travel arrangements including flights to and from South Bend, IN and even received a rental car backup incase I had to make the two hour drive from ORD. I'm glad they booked the back up rental car, as I ended up being three hours late in ORD due to maintenance, and had to rely on the rental back up. Sim eval started at 0900 and was done before 10 am. Very simple, see sim scenarios for exactly what you'll do. Basic... Continue reading this interview experience
