The recruiting team and staff were all awesome! Friendly, welcoming, and created an enjoyable atmosphere. Below is my experience and perspective. That could, of course, vary depending on recruiters, candidates, and most importantly YOU (study, prep, attitude). I respect their time of contacting me and bringing me out to meet with them so I put great effort into studying, prepping, asking myself if this really is a good fit, and finally, practicing my answers so that they would get and see my BEST (they deserve it based on what they do for the candidates from start to finish). Phone screen (1 hour): Friendly, relaxed, enjoyable. If you are excited, then BE excited and let them get to know the real YOU (personality) and really why you want to work at XO (lifestyle, fit, passion). Talk through your background (personal life mixed with work/resume). Study the highlights of... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

  1. Mar 25, 2024 Phone interview is exactly as what has been described; very professional, friendly, just be yourself! The in-person interview was in Columbus, OH. We started with the company overview and introduction of the key staff that day. The written test did not have any surprises on it, just follow the study guide. The sim eval was in a Seminole that consisted of a departure (vectors), an ILS and a visual pattern. The sim is very touchy, not forgiving at all, but make sure you call for... 2. Mar 04, 2024 Interview was almost exactly as posted here. Initial interview was a virtual interview with HR and a few simple technical questions. After that, 1 week later I got offered 2 assessment date choices to fly out to Ohio. I chose the first date, and they arranged flight and hotel. In person interview there was roughly 22 of us. Started at 745 am with a presentation about the company. After that it was a written technical assessment, every question was listed on this site. HR interview was the... 3. Feb 23, 2024 1st round interview was over zoom with a recruiter from Vista America. She explained how Vista bought out XO jet and explained schedule, training, pay structure etc. asked about my flying experience, why I’m leaving my current company, any accidents, incidents or checkride failures. What are you looking for in your next job overall basic HR questions. She then asked 5 technical questions from a question bank of 16. What is the difference between a DA/MDA. How far away should you avoid... Continue reading this interview experience

  4. Feb 22, 2024 Interview took about 45 minutes; very laid back. Started with introductions,  “Tell me your story on how you got into aviation”. Then explained the company, fleet, scheduling, benefits, upgrade times etc. Asked preferred aircraft; high demand for Citation and Gulfstream first officers. Followed by legal question.  Then 2 HR questions.  Lastly 5 brief Technical questions, (view the study guide of this website).  I was then asked if I had any final... 5. Feb 19, 2024 Just like the other reviews said, it is very similar, at Columbus everyone was very nice and professional, we started the day with the company presentation, we got to meet the company's leadership they talked about the company's history and benefits, after that we had a written exam (study the guide from here in AviationInterviews), then had lunch, after some of us went to the sim evaluation and others stayed for the in person interview. The sim was straight forward on a light twin, SID,... Continue reading this interview experience

  6. Feb 05, 2024 Very professional interview experience. Full day in Ohio going over the company, followed by a 30 minute interview which was basically everything I read on here. They asked generic HR questions. A few scenario questions on what would I do if I was on a flight to the Bahamas and a thunderstorm was right in the way and we couldn’t go around, but the captain was saying it was no problem and we could punch through. They wanted to hear that safety comes first and we should divert, even... Continue reading this interview experience

  7. Jan 22, 2024 The interview was for a company called vista America, which is the owner of XOJET. Sent my resume and received an answer within 48 hrs that I needed atp written to be considered, completed that and reached out to them again. Received an email back within 48 hrs to schedule phone interview. phone interview was as described here, hr questions and a couple silly technical questions (view the study guide of this website). The interviewer said i'll hear back by the end of the week but it took... Continue reading this interview experience

  8. Jan 10, 2024 My interview was similar to others posted here. I initially applied online for a global 7500 sic job and heard back within a few hours to set up a phone interview. Phone interview lasted about 30min and was mainly an overview of my experience and a few “tell me about a time” questions. I was then recommended for another interview two weeks later with HR and the DO(online video interview). This interview consisted about a resume review and few “tell me about a time”... 9. Dec 05, 2023 My day went exactly like others have posted. Written test was 20 questions. They asked questions about Jepp charts listed in this site.  In personal interview they asked me about tail stalls due to icing and how to recover.  And a ton about basically getting along with people and customer service. I thought it was a great experience hope I get... Continue reading this interview experience

  10. Nov 07, 2023 Got called into the jet edge head office for the interview, the company presentation was nice they gave a lot of information about the company itself and its business strategy. For the technical exam the XO study guide was on point, 135 regs and icing is a must to study. After the technical was the interview they had my technical with them in the interview and it was being reviewed simultaneously. Got asked alot of scenario based questions and customer relations questions. Nothing technical... Continue reading this interview experience
