After that was the written test. This covered weather, Part 61/91 FARs, relevant AIM sections, performance, aerodynamics, aeromedical, etc. Basically a sampling of questions from a commercial written test (They were not actually FAA questions though! Don't study the Gleim or any type of test prep. Just know your pilot 101 stuff.). I am currently working as a CFI/CFII/MEI and I felt like the written was a breeze. If you take your instructing seriously, the written should be no issue.



Mr. White interrupted the written to conduct the personal/technical interview. He talked to me about the company and re-asked the standard HR questions. As far as techincal questions, he definitely wants to see that you know all about a multi-engine aircraft you fly/instruct in. Pick one you know and make sure you're confident on the Engines/Props, Fuel, Electrical, Gear, Flaps, etc. He has access to the POHs for almost all light twins and has asked the questions more than enough times to know if you're BSing, so don't make anything up!

    alright to start i flew out of midway on one of their company lears to LCK (rickenbacker, OH). i was nervous like everybody else was but i began to calm down once i saw the demeanor of airnet employees. they aren't up tight at all and they try to have as much fun at work as possible. the flight took about an hour and once i got to klck, i walked to the baymont that's right on the field. there isn't a shuttle to or from the hotel after 11pm, so i was outta luck and had to lug my bags....     If you read the other Gouges, you will find everyone who goes to AIRNET will probably have the same experience I did. Great bunch of people there. It is a real family type organization and you learn everyone by their first names and have FUN at work. Anyway, the hardest thing for me was the SIM that you will do about halfway through your interview day.     Flew into LCK on an Airnet flight the night before, I was slightly concerned about the Navajo I flew in on when I first looked at it, but everything inside of it worked,which I can't say about most of our flight school airplanes.
