It was all very simple...the Interview questions on this website were almost exactly what they asked me. I felt very prepared walking in. They flew me out for the interview, I arrive to the DPJ office a little bit early so I had to wait. I got introduced to everyone and... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

  1. Apr 11, 2024 Filled out application at 1250 and heard back next day to schedule the online interview. The soonest available slot was 7 weeks out. The interview was 1 1/2 hrs long. All interviewers are pilots (whether they fly for WUP or just have flying experience) and I will say I was impressed by her. Started with her background and then asked me to walk her through my resume. Asked a couple questions about my experience, plane I am currently flying, etc. Moved on to basic yes or no questions... 2. Apr 11, 2024 The Interview went just as described by others, ensure you are deeply familiar with decoding Metar and TAFs and also ensure you know everything on the Jepp Plates, you will be asked after briefing the STAR or DEP or App to answer what specific things are on the chart, you will also get a scenario as PIC to make a decision using AVEF for lost comms or an emergency. Good luck... Continue reading this interview experience

  3. Apr 04, 2024 Interview was very straightforward. Know how to brief a plate and information on advantages and disadvantages of sweptback... Continue reading this interview experience

  4. Mar 15, 2024 Other interviews on here are spot on. Intro to interviewer and company followed by, HR type questions. Decode a METAR, make a decision on whether an alternate is needed. Brief an IAP. Brief a STAR, calculate a top of descent and rate of descent (view the study guide of this website).  New stuff included turbine theory. Received a call back exactly 1 week later offering the KA-350, and placement in the candidate pool. Awaiting a class... Continue reading this interview experience

  5. Mar 14, 2024 I received an email about a week after submitting my application and then scheduled my interview for about a month out. During the HR/Technical interview we started out with a brief introduction of the company and the interviewers background and story. They then opened it up to me to share my story and a bit about myself. They used scenario based questions for the HR portion based on the story I gave them(referencing a horse training gig I had started up a while back) then we moved directly... 6. Mar 08, 2024 My interviewer was a fairly laidback guy, as described in previous interviews that I read. First, we talked about his background and involvement with the company. He's been in his current position for less than three months. Next, we talked about the my aviation background, when I got into flying, why I got into flying and what my future interests were. The technical part of the interviews started with its decoding a METAR. We talked about the kind conditions at that field and whether... Continue reading this interview experience

  7. Mar 07, 2024 Very laid back interview with no stress. Started with his background and then asked a little bit about me. Began with HR type questions, (view the study guide of this website).  Followed up with decoding a METAR and TAF and asking if we would need an alternate given the expected weather. Asked about alternated minimums and all of the factors/planning that go into picking an alternate. Scenario was you are a king air pilot leaving TEB going to MCO. First question involved an inop nav... Continue reading this interview experience

  8. Mar 06, 2024 Interview started with a general introduction covering the recruiters history and background on the company. General HR questions (Favorite pilot, time you had to deviate from the plan), raw data Metar and TAF, alternate requirements (Based on this TAF would you need an alternate), briefed a SID (Out of PHX), STAR (Janny 5 into KVNY, what would happen if you lost the flight director while doing the STAR that requires RNAV 1), and ILS Y 16R KVNY, multi engine aerodynamics (critical engine,... 9. Mar 05, 2024 The interview started off nice with him introducing himself, but only had been in the role a few months. I think he had been with Wheels Up for some time. I told him a little about myself and answered some HR questions. The technical portion was difficult with a very hard metar pulled live from Philadelphia that I struggled with on RAB1357E17DZB17E23. Missing that question got me rattled. We talked about takeoff briefing, V1, Vr, V2, Vmc, critical engine, STAR briefing, Approach... Continue reading this interview experience

  10. Mar 04, 2024 A well-organized interview process. Initial company introduction including himself then followed by asking about me. I sent out a summarized resume so he asked about the gaps. Technical interview was scenario-based questions from copying weather, CRAFT, Max takeoff performance, V1, Vr, V2, conventional twin engine (Vyse, Vmc...), Departure (Rudy 6) - what altitude would you initially fly at? and then I asked any questions for the remaining time. Overall it was a pleasant... Continue reading this interview experience
