  1. The Interview was a one and one with Chief Pilot. Very relaxed, no Tech Questions.   Mostly about the companies operations.  About 1hr excellent... Continue reading this interview experience

  2. I'm a retired 33 year ATC from Chicago TRACON/Center. Been flying part 91 longer than that. Flew E145 for a regional for five months then quit due to disagreeable domicile. So I had 300 hrs SIC turbine. I think I was at the right place with an ATP at the right time. I had applied and was called within two weeks. Interview with Chief Pilot was a pleasant conversation about my history lasting about 30 mins. I was offered the job immediately at the interview. I think the ATP and relatively... 3. Interviewed with Chief Pilot, Miguel. Was straight forward. No technical questions or written test. No Sim evaluation.  I was offered the job on the spot. Then taken to HR where you fill out paperwork & go for a drug and alcohol test. I would still prepare for technical, written and sim evaluation as they may change things up from time to time. I parted ways with Miami Air after the written test which I passed but the company was not for me due to lack of flying hours, pilot... Continue reading this interview experience

  4. The previous gouges are out-of-date so I will try to provide as much information as I can remember. I began applying in February and used internal recommendations, but never got a call back. My contact that recommended me suggested that I apply by emailing the Chief Pilot, John , directly as this would yield the best result. I applied several times by submitting the online application and emailing the Chief Pilot without any luck. It wasn't until I changed my address to a Miami address that... 5. I was given a tour of the facility and was impressed with the operation. The people who run the company are all pilots and they know the aviation industry. The Chief Pilot was my sole interviewer. He was a sincere, friendly and approachable individual. No technical questions just a one on one conversation geared towards getting to know you and what you bring to the company. He is a very easy going person. Former military and you can sense that he is closely scrutinizing you. He will also review... Continue reading this interview experience

  6. I interviewed with John Paswater chief Pilot. Very nice easy going person. Previous US airforce career,Special Ops stuff. My resume was submited at the MIA Aeroserve career fair (It was free). Called for interview and jump seated on my own down to MIA. Had to take a cab to MIA Air facility on the north side of the field. Cost 14 dollars one way I think you have to use the blue cabs because of the cab zone it is located within. Bring cash. During the interview spoke with John he made copies of... 7. I walked my resume in back in the early Spring. Miami Air tends to run 4 student class/es during the summer and into the fall. I was called by the Chief Pilot towards the end of June for an interview. The interview was very straight forward and more of a conversation than an 'oral' type interview. He is a very nice and approachable person with a military aviation background. He asked me about my flying career and what I was looking for. He then told me the good, the bad, and the ugly... 8. Seems like a great company. They are typing F/O's in the 737. I had the interview with J.P. Great guy. Just talked about the company and a little about what I have been doing with my career. Very straight forward. Had the sim ride a week later (727) which I had never flown before. But it went well. They just want to check your scann. Great company and a great... 9. Very straight fwd. & professional. I met the CP at a job fair. They are looking for pilots with previous 121 time as well as those with EFIS experience. 737 type would help, but not required. Was given a handout on the company at the job fair after an initial 10 minute discussion... Basics on the good, bad & ugly of he company. Was called back a few days later for an interview... The interview was held in Miami at their headquarters. No technical questions. Questions asked were... Continue reading this interview experience
