Feb 28, 2024 I'm 20 years out of the cockpit. Yes, 20. I'm a former Navy ( 9 yrs) and UAL (4 yrs) pilot. Furloughed in 2003 and elected to pass on the recalls. In hindsight - wrong move. I looked at returning about 10 years ago, but there was no need for pilots at United so I resigned myself to flying a desk (hating it). Feb 27, 2024 Everything went very smoothly for transportation to hotel to interview. The interview began with a 20 minute presentation then they took each candidate one at a time back to be interviewed. The times ranged from a to 1.5 hours. They seem to take people back in the order of the departing flights. Those with earlier flights went first. Then they escort you out and ask you not to talk to the candidates that have not gone yet. Feb 21, 2024 Interview was very pleasant and laid back. I had an enjoyable experience. They fly you into a respectable hotel the night before. There’s a nice sit down restaurant that will provide breakfast and dinner. Piedmont definitely embraces a small company feel. There was only me, and one other guy interviewing. Feb 07, 2024 The interview could not have been any better. Not that it was easy, but it was extremely fair, very well organized, and I felt like they wanted me to be there and see me succeed. The questions they asked were exactly what everyone else says. Definitely know the Jepp plates (approach and airport). We did not go over SID/STAR but it is fair game in the interview.
