Interview Info   Study Guide   Sim / Scenario   All Companies

Interview started at 0830 in Salt Lake. Myself and three other applicants. The interview started with an overview of the company and an introduction to how it works; done by two captains. I was selected first to do the HR portion with one of the captains. Because I had gone to a Cadet experience the day before they brought me out of the overview of the company prior to it ending to do the HR portion. It was very relaxed. The captain had to do some errands so we walked and talked for part of it. The questions were about disagreements with previous bosses, what would be the hardest thing about joining Skywest, what aircraft would I prefer, etc... see that portion of the gauge for more info. He also... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

Apr 22, 2024 Very easy going interview. Started around 9 AM and done by 10 AM. The recruiter was a FO that has been working for the company for the past year, similar age and pretty chill guy. Started with weather. What reports do you check when you get to the airport. NWKRAFT, ARROW, etc. We went over alternate requirements and asked me about derivative alternate minimums. No weather theory apart from thunderstorms and microburst. Technical part was as described by the study guide and previos interviews... Continue reading this interview experience

  2. Interview sample 2

Apr 18, 2024 The interview started off with intros, (view the study guide of this website). My interviewer was pretty chill, he's been with SkyWest as a FO for about a year and he was around my age so it kind of helped with the nerves. Then we got into the technical questions. It started with reading a METAR and TAF, and then questions.      Then asked about airport diagram symbology.  We talked about CRM and what it is (to use all available resources to reduce workload as... 3. Interview sample 3

Apr 18, 2024 It was a very technical, but easygoing interview. The interviewer made it relaxed and he treated it like I was getting ready to be part of the team. Everything he asked was anticipated as I have seen in the write-ups here. He covered High Altitude aerodynamics, swept wings aerodynamics, jet engine theory, systems relating to jets, 2 in and 2 out scenarios, and then he showed me how they brief approach plates at SkyWest. Have your times ready in this format: Last 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 6... Continue reading this interview experience

Had me read a METAR and and showed a TAF and asked if i would need to file an alternate. Asked about thunderstorms. He briefed an approach plate for me and asked when I could go below minimums. Asked what I would do if we had a bleed air malfunction in flight (follow the checklist and 2 in 2 out). Ended with PRIA... Continue reading this interview experience

  6. Interview sample 6

Apr 16, 2024 Similar interview experience to everyone else. Intros, flight times, few HR questions, technical questions (biggest portion of interview), finished with more HR questions. The interviewer or interviewers in my case (Retired Capt w/ 15mo FO) do their best to make you feel comfortable. I’m gonna shoot y’all straight though. This was by far the toughest most technical interview I’ve ever had. That being said, every question I was asked is in the study guide. I got tripped up... Continue reading this interview experience

Apr 10, 2024 Study this gouge! This will polish you for the interview! It’s also good to study as it will also refresh some knowledge items you may have forgotten. Hammer down all the technical and also go over the scenarios. Practice with another pilot! Be yourself and relax…it’s a very in-dept interview both on the technical/scenario side but also they want to know about you and your experiences. My interview experience was top notch and was wonderful! I was very prepared and... Continue reading this interview experience
