Arrived one prior to interview as instructed and met with other interviewees in the cafeteria. I must admit the whole atmosphere was extremely relaxed and the employees expressed their gratitude which actually felt genuine. The first part of the interview was HR where I met with a senior female captain and an HR rep. Both thanked me for being there and seemed pleased that I could make it. I understand everyone needs pilots but this was the most appreciated interview I can ever recall, which reduced the tension immensely! Both were kind and gave a spiel about how the interview would go, specifically they not only wanted TMAA answers but how did you deal with it and what did... 1. Apr 04, 2024 This website was EXTREMELY helpful. Absolutely zero surprises on any questions or admin portion. Dropped off docs at beginning of tour, I over prepared for docs, just bring what they want and have your logbooks rubber banded together or in a binder. Very relaxed and low threat, waited in the comfortable room “holding cell” for about 10 mins chatting with other participants and the tour guide. For interview they introduced themselves and I did my intro, I know I went over 5 mins... Continue reading this interview experience

  2. Apr 02, 2024 TMAAT questions, (view the study guide of this website including the Sim/Scenario section).  Boeing 777 Captain. Very attentive and focused on my answers and response. I had the feeling the interview is most certainly tailored to your experience, as no tech questions from any gauges I reviewed were asked by the captain. Last question after the legal stuff, was "Why United" and they emphasized you have 2 min don’t go over that. So I tailored my answer and took a minute... Continue reading this interview experience

  3. Apr 02, 2024 The website gouge is spot on. Show up and they have you fill out a document with your recent flight time numbers and asks a few questions about any check ride failures. Go to the cafeteria to wait with the other applicants. Two CA's gathered us up and took us on a quick tour of the building. Turned in our required documents. They did an excellent job of really trying to put you at ease. They genuinely are excited to have you there which eased the nerves a bit. Took you into a "holding... 4. Mar 28, 2024 Overall, the descriptions on this site are very accurate. I arrived at the Flight Training Center 1 hour and 30 minutes early and waited in the cafeteria. There were about 10 applicants. A current United Captain led us on a tour of the building and then to the waiting room. Pilot interviewers entered the room and individually called us for our interviews. The interviewers, both Pilot and HR, were very professional and made a concerted effort to ensure I felt comfortable throughout the... Continue reading this interview experience

  5. Mar 28, 2024 The interview process began by attending NGPA about 2 months ago.  Having my application in for about a year, I decided that by going to NGPA to talk with a United captain in person would help lead to an interview invite which subsequently happened 10 days later, at the end of last month. I booked the Hotel in Denver as a different hotel was sold out two weeks prior to the interview (be sure to book the latter as soon as you receive the interview invite). I was assigned the 0800... 6. Mar 22, 2024 Exactly as described in other write ups. If you are offered an interview spot, they want you to be successful. The interview starts off with the PM of hiring with an in-brief, and continues as a complete low threat environment that is super welcoming. Every HR question asked is documented in this website and the tech portion is set to be very similar to an instrument... Continue reading this interview experience

  7. Mar 21, 2024 Overall great experience. Interview was scheduled at a Job Fair. The gauge is as advertised on aviationinterviews.com  TMAAY, 5 TMAAT's, 5min break into technical portion. IAH-MCO flight with storms in the vicinity of IAH and windshear suspected. Briefing with UA 13 briefing items. During cruise, GEN DRIVE L, what do you do? During approach, ATC puts you on hold with EFC 30min. Your thought process... After landing, debrief. Finally, Why United? I received the CJO 2 days after the... 8. Mar 19, 2024 The question were as described by other reviews. I had the most difficult time answering the TAAT you gave excellent customer service. Not really the focus in the military. I did ask the hiring team multiple clarification questions b/f the interview. One was about reporting a failed UPT checkride and the other was how to annotate retired family UAL employees- which I did via the application with explanation. The hiring team was very responsive and helpful. I had a gap in official Air Force... Continue reading this interview experience

  9. Mar 19, 2024 Very relaxed experience, everything on this site is spot on. Know the 13 steps in order for your technical assessment portion, they'll want to hear an expanded brief based off of those 13 steps (sent in the preparation guide they email... 10. Mar 18, 2024 Attended NGPA and I believe that's the reason I got the interview…. A very relaxed experience. The pilot interviewer and HR interviewer really made me feel at ease. Pilot interviewer thanked me for having my logbooks professionally done. TMAY and 5 TMAAT questions. They aren't looking at you while you tell your stories they will take notes the entire time. A little awkward when you're done your story and they are still taking notes but it's ok, drink water and relax. Took a short... Continue reading this interview experience
