Interview experience:

I arrived in Dubai the night before the interview. A lady from Marharba Services was waiting to escort me and another interviewee through immigration and customs. That was a nice thought. Emirates pays for 4 nights lodging at the interview hotel, plus up to 100 Dh per day for food. Breakfast and lunch are included so it is hard to spend the money. The interview was mainly held at Le Meridien Hotel which makes it very convenient to rest between sessions and talk with your fellow interviewees. The three day process goes something like this: First you are split into groups of four. There are only two groups for a total of eight people interviewing at one time. Day one is a short technical exam in the morning followed by a tour of the Emirates facilities. The tech exam is pretty hard if you haven’t studied. A good bit of aerodynamics, weather, performance and the like. Reading " Handling The Big Jets " by D.P. Davies, Aerodynamics for Naval Aviators, Aviation Weather and Weather Services, and the Jepp Introduction helped a lot.
