Interview experience:

Day started off as usual. Two written tests: 50-? test based on ATP Written Exam - no figures, charts, or calculations, 10-? mechanical aptitude test. 7 of the questions on the mech apt test at SkyWest were from that book...exactly. There's your 70% passing grade. The sim was in an ATC-810, which is a VERY stable sim. Get the prep at American Aviation the day prior. I had Brenden Rasmussen - he knew the entire profile and even the terminology used for the ride. The people there are loving the business and bend over backwards to help you out. They are the test prep whether they like it or not :) I got about 20 apch plates from them, but SkyWest seems to have caught on and uses different ones each day. They seem to like anything in NY, NJ, or CA. They know your background at the beginning of the day during intros, so they'll make sure they give you an unfamiliar plate. Expect anything in the sim. I got the ILS 6 POU (Poughkeepsie, NY) full apch (watch your 10 NM protected area - I am familiar with 90-kt procedures and these are done at 160 - kinda threw me), followed by alternate missed apch instructions to hold at IGN VORTAC as published on the VOR DME 24 POU.
