  2. Tell us about a difficult customer service experience? and how you handled it.
    Right now I am working as a caregiver with older people, most of which have dementia. One time I was picking up this woman to go to the store and i came to her back door because that was the closest to get to her house from where my car was parked. she did not handle that very well and called me a lot of rude names and told me i had a pea sized brain. i handled this situation very calmly and just said "I'm sorry you feel that way, are you ready to leave?" and that was that.
  3. How do you plan to balance work and life?
    I work as much as I can. And when i have time, I will hang out with my friends.
  4. Do you feel your recent jobs helped in preparing you for this position?
    Yes, prior to this interview, I was a flight attendant for a regional airline and have dealt with the stresses and achievements you typically see in this industry. I also worked in the hospitality industry while living in Germany helping guests travelling from across the world. Lastly, my experience as a military spouse has given me the depth and perspective one would need interacting with other customs and cultures.
    I do. My current job/recent job has been all about working with others. I have gained a lot of patience in challenging situations and learned to not get stressed out or overwhelmed in a stressful situation.

  5. What is one thing you would change about yourself and why?
    One thing I would change about myself is that I am sort of a push over and people pleaser. I usually do things for others to make them happen even if i don't want to do it and people have noticed that and really taken advantage of that trait of mine.
  6. Explain a time when you had to motivate a co-worker or colleague?
    One time i saw one of my co-workers crying in the bathroom, i gave her a hug and asked her what was wrong and then tried to cheer her up by being funny by telling a story that related to her issue.
    One day I had seen my coworker crying at her desk. I hugged her and asked her what was wrong. She looked at me with tears in her eyes and asked me how I do it? Already i knew what she meant. How do I come in to work and always say goodmorning to everyone. How do I handle being single let alone being a single parent? I told her " Be thankful you get to live another day, find something awesome everyday, be with my kid another day. Love life and what it brings to you today. Everything else is a distraction.
  7. Tell us about a time when you experienced a rude customer?
    One time when I worked at an ice cream shop, a customer yelled at all of our staff because the line was too long and it was moving slowly due to the other customers not deciding on what they wanted. I handled this situation by apologizing to her for how slow it was and that i would be with her as soon as I could. I thanked her for her patiences and gave her a little bit bigger scoop than normal.
    I had a customer yell at me because we were so busy that we did not have enough staff to offer assistance to clients who were waiting. I handled this situation buy calmly apologizing to her for the shortage of staff and that we will get to her shortly. She did wait around to be assisted and I thanked her for her patience and gave her free samples as an appreciation.
  8. Name a time you received great customer service?
    One time I received great customer service in a store. I went in to the store not knowing what I wanted to buy or what style I wanted to try on. she went around the store grabbing a bunch of different outfits and I tried them all on, I must have spent over $200 on clothes that day when I was just "window shopping". she was great.
    A couple months back a client had completed a survey for our company and mentioned my name I had been very helpful and patient with her. I helped her find her makeup match to what she was looking for and I showed her how to apply. I welcomed her into the store and she left happy and has been a regular client since
  9. Tell me about yourself.
    I am 22, I graduated from the college of Charleston in May. My major was public health, through that I realized I loved geriatric people. I have been working with them for about 3 years now, 1 year at my current job. That job has made me realize who i am due to being one who loves serving others and has made me a very patient person. I love to travel and listen to other peoples travel stories. My friends and I can make any situation fun. I love spending time with people.
    I have over 20 years of customer service in the retail, automotive, hotel,luxury, and Corporate America. I have an Associates of Science degree in Hospitality Management. I've taken several classes to enhance my learning skills.
