FREE Delta Private Jets pilot interview information and gouge

It was all very simple...the Interview questions on this website were almost exactly what they asked me. I felt very prepared walking in. They flew me out for the interview, I arrive to the DPJ office a little bit early so I had to wait. I got introduced to everyone and... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

  1. May 22, 2020 The interview was simple and straightforward. Online call with a representative from HR and a line pilot. They started out by telling me about the company, merger with Gamma, and Wheels Up, how training is going, and the current status of the company. All of the HR questions were in line with the interview gouge. Mostly became a discussion of what their company culture is like. This is HUGE!! Technical questions were straightforward, based on the taxi diagram, departure, and approach plates... Continue reading this interview experience

  2. May 22, 2020 The interview was very straightforward. Read through the questions on the gouge, they are essentially spot on. The team who interviewed me was excellent and frankly a joy to talk with. They are very prominent in the company culture at Delta Private Jets. It is one of the most important things for their company and its important that you emphasize this in the interview. They had me walk through my resume, essentially an easy way to get talking to them about myself. The whole process was very... Continue reading this interview experience

  3. May 21, 2020 These questions were spot on. Just study the gouge, the Jepp charts they send, and brush up on basic instrument knowledge and you’ll be fine. Very laid back and a nice group. As soon as you answer a question to on they said great and move on to the next one. I stumbled on an easy question and they helped me through knowing it was just nerves. Good... 4. May 21, 2020 Did virtual interview online. Very friendly welcome with one HR and one pilot. Began with background and resume history. Talked about a few simple HR questions and then talked about the company and it’s future. After that was done went through some technical questions about the Jep plates. Pretty straight forward. Was stumped on one but they lead you to the answer. After that was done they asked if I had any questions and told me they would be getting back to me within 24... 5. May 15, 2020 It began by me walking through my resume with the person from HR and the Pilot. That process was fairly straightforward. In between they asked a few questions about my specific experience. After that the HR portion continued by getting asked general questions. Simple stuff that didn't take any sweat. Moving to the technical portion, I was asked about how I would find a WSJ in the middle of nowhere. Keep throwing answers to show that you are trying hard to find a solution. The captain... 6. May 15, 2020 Interviewed online which is the norm these days. It was about one hour and started with HR first then did the Tech portion. Both the pilot and HR interviewers were beyond friendly and informative. The questions asked were all from this websites study gouge. They did ask one that I don't remember seeing. Other than that, it was very mellow and straight forward as well as the The JEPP chart portion. They definitely focus on Safety of course and customer service. Have a good "TMAAT when... 7. May 14, 2020 Very similar experience to the other applicants before me. Both HR and pilot rep were very enthusiastic about the company and were very open to answer all questions I had. They said safety is #1 and very closely behind follows customer service. Definitely have good customer service service stories thought out as you prepare and put to heart the company values. Technical portion was mainly briefing/talking through the jepp plates and the interviewer will set up the scenario (weather, aircraft... Continue reading this interview experience

  8. May 07, 2020 A week after submitting my app I was contacted for a phone interview that is just HR and flight history questions. I was then emailed dates to select a online interview from. On that interview you interviewed by their head of Pilot hiring and Chief Pilot. The whole process takes 45 min to an hour. Was asked to give a background of my flying career and then it moved on to HR questions. What you see here is almost spot on, with some modifications. Don't get hung up in the specific... 9. May 06, 2020 I submitted my application and was emailed within a few days for a phone interview. Completed the phone interview which went well. Questions included why do you want to work at Delta Jets, who do you know at Delta Jets and questions about the current mergers. The 2 year training contract was also discussed. Received an email shortly thereafter asking me to select a virtual interview date to continue in the hiring process which I did. I didn't hear anything after that until about three weeks... 10. May 01, 2020 The process as a whole was pretty slow for me. After the phone screening it was four weeks before my interview happened. The process was straight forward and their were no "gotcha" questions. Be prepared to walk your pilot interviewer through an entire flight. They sent me all plates ahead of time so no surprises there, as long as you have studied those plates and approach the flight with safety in mind you will be fine. They asked me to calculate a descent, whether or not a... Continue reading this interview experience
