The interview was an HR interview only for initial entry into the Cadet program. It started right on time with an FO and Captain. They discussed my resume and introduced themselves. There was some back and forth chit chat during this time and once they had gone over their backgrounds they asked me to tell them about my self outside of the resume. I gave them my story of what led me to join the military and my career history and what led me to flying. Once that was over they asked if I had any...

The interview started 4 simple HR questions to break the ice, and be ready to prepare checkride failure answers and what you learned. Technical was extensive review basic JEPP symbol and approach plates, know what descend via and cleared via are respectively. Departure alternate minimums are based off the CAT I mins back into the same airport, make sure to say all factors that you would take into account when taxing and know about hot spots. Overall they are very nice and on your side os... -

The gouge presented before mine is quite accurate, it helped me mold my studies for certain. The Captain and FO running it were kind and humorous and had no intent to trick or confuse, they expected me to know how to answer the questions though. Here is my general flow: HR interview had some basic filler questions, (view the study guide of this website). All in all the HR was straighforward. Be honest, be open, and be confident. The technical interview started with reading a METAR... -

I had 2 chill FO's. They introduced themselves, I introduced myself. 3 HR questions, took 5 minutes. Then we start with a METAR and a TAF for Detroit. Read the METAR, do not get confused with RVR since this is likely where it will be. What are concerns? I had excessively low ceiling. Talked about temp and dew-point. Based on the METAR we would need a departure alternate. What is a departure alternate and when is it required? After, I was given a taxi route in KDTW. What are concerns? (view... -

In-person interview was very casual. Everyone showed up prior to the 9 am start time. Take this opportunity to get acquainted with your peers. The rest of the interview was exactly what you’d find on the study guide here, but alot more condensed. They asked probably 30 questions total at random, but nothing surprising or missing from the... -

The interview was just as everyone else has described it on here. I was interviewed by a FO and captain who were both incredibly nice and made me feel super relaxed and comfortable. The HR portion was about 10 minutes with an ice breaker question and then the "why PSA" questions. We then went into the technical questions which lasted for about 35 minutes or so. As long as you know the study guide questions by heart, you'll have no trouble. They had me read a meter, TAF and... -

My PSA interview was in person with two FOs. The vibe was relaxed and laid back. We started with a few HR questions, then moved straight into technicals. It was quick Q&A style — I’m not sure if that’s their normal pace or because I was almost the last slot of the day (after lots of other cadets on the same day). They walked me through an airport diagram, a SID, a STAR, and finished with an approach plate. Random questions on each—no full brief required. When we... -

Study guide is very accurate. Only 3 HR questions, then we moved to the technical portion which was centered around a flight from DTW to CLT. Started off looking at METARs and TAFs. Asked if I needed alternates. Looked at the DTW taxi diagram, SIDs, STARs, approaches, etc. Make sure you know your takeoff minimums, alternate requirements, 1-2-3 rule, etc. If you have a mentor, take any help they offer. I did a mock interview with my mentor and it greatly helped my confidence for the... -

The group started off with a 45 min presentation on PSA and the job and company details and a Q&A. They reviewed documents and log books and we waited to be called to interview. They took us in to interview teams after that. I met with 2 captains, we did a few quick HR questions: Where do you see the aviation interview in 10 years What cartoon character do you identify with If a jumpseat pilot was badmouthing the captain what would you do? We moved to a METAR/TAF question: Read the...
