  • Interview went as described, HR portion seemed to go pretty well. Technical portion got me on a couple of things -- RVR range on a METAR, $ sign on a METAR... and when asked about what point the FAF on an ILS was, I goofed and said "xyz waypoint" rather than the correct answer which is GS intercept at specified altitude. Last little mistake was when defining a stable approach, I started listing off all the detailed ways that you could...

We started with introductions, then moved into the HR portion which lasted 10-15 minutes, (view the study guide of this website).  Maximum 2 TMAAT questions.  Then, the technical took 20-30 minutes. Took a scenario based approach, the captain was very nice and emphasized a laid back interview. PAVE checklist, led me into IMSAFE checklist. 91.103. Asked about alternates, airspace and speeds, holding speeds, and RVSM. 91.175, runway lights, going missed on approach. Captain having an...

Quick introductions. Any checkride failures, ability to work in the U.S., and any violations. Asked questions about their company (bases, aircraft, employees). Expected RATP and a couple of TMAAT questions to make 10-15 minute HR portion. The technical was longer, like 20-30 minutes. I used PAVE checklist, but he wanted more IMSAFE checklist things, so they help guide you there and want you to succeed. Scenario based approach, took me on a flight from preflight to takeoff, enroute, and...

The interview consisted of an HR section and Technical section. From joining the meeting to leaving was 20 minutes. If you study the questions on this study guide you will be just fine. The interviewer and pilot were very personable and made the experience very comfortable. I was emailed the metar and Jepp was late during the interview, so donâ??t expect to get it ahead to...

It was very straight forward. We started with introductions and the HR portion of the Interview. I was asked what got me in to aviation and two TMAAT questions. Also why I wanted to join republic. Hr took about 10/15 minutes in total. Right before the interview I was emailed an approach plate and a Metar and TAF. As we started the technical portion the pilot wanted to do more of a scenario based approach. We started with preflight type questions (IMSAFE, alternates, can we go, etc) and then...

My virtual interview matched with many others, started with introductions, then into the HR portion. I could tell they wanted you to succeed, for example with TMAAT questions if it wasn't exactly what they wanted they let me know and gave me another chance so they can better identify my conflict resolution skills in my case. Once done with the HR portion did technical with a FO at Republic and asked questions that were all in the study guide. Asked simple questions. Once done the technical...

Very laid back. Know all your metar codes. Taf. Be familiar with all jepp plates for all home base airports. I was asked about all sqwauk codes in different scenarios. (view the study guide of this website).  Expected RATP date. They really enjoyed staying and talking after about Republic and my questions about my...

3 mins before the interview started, the weather and chart info were emailed to me. Then we did introductions and got right into the interview. There were two people who conducted the interview. Someone from HR conducted the first part, which lasted under 10 mins. Then the interview was handed off to a captain who did the technical portion. For the technical portion, it was weather, briefing an approach, and then scenarios. The scenarios went all the way from takeoff to landing. Both the HR...

The interview started with a discussion of my background, including whether I had any checkride failures. The HR representative then moved into questions directly from the study guide, beginning with what I know about Republic and my estimated timeline to get there. From there, they covered several HR-style questions, such as what personal skills and traits I possess that would make me a good first officer, along with a discussion on the importance of CRM. After the HR portion, the pilot...

Interview was easier than I thought, qualities of a good FO, why Republic, TMAAT questions (about 10-15 min overall), the technical is by a pilot, theyâ??ll send you a jeppesen chart and Metar minutes before the interview and heâ??ll ask questions about those charts (about 15-20 min) They do a great job making the environment less...

All the interview questions were from the study guide. They like the STAR method of explaining for the HR questions. I got a couple random IFR and plate questions, but it was more so for fun to see if I'd know it and not for actual examination purposes.  I de-coded a METAR and TAF, both were very straight forward and nothing...
