Read Page 1 ... control in a stall, how does a turbofan engine work, what is bypass air, why do we use so much bypass air, what kind of systems does a jet have, what do we use bleed air for, what about hydraulics, what kind of power does the plane have, why do use AC instead of DC, how to you convert between ac and dc (inverters and rectifiers). We talked about anticipated and unanticipated threats, time and no time threats, and discussed how emergencies are usually handled. Asked me what to do if you get a hot start or if a circuit breaker pops. Next we talked about jepp charts, discussed a hot spot, asked me about what markings you would see where and what they look like, mandatory hold short sign, taxiway signs, runway remaining signs, ILS critical area, and displaced thresholds. We went into a scenario flying along and having a small issue...

My interview was with a four-year FO on the ERJ out of Boise. He calmed the nerves right at the start. The interview started with a logbook check and some HR questions. Then went into TMAAT questions (all were from the study guide). He asked me to tell a joke, then we moved into the technical section. He told me that the technical section would not be as hard as everyone made it out to be. He asked questions about swept wings, turbine engines, bypass air, bleed air, and hydraulics. He asked... -

Exactly by the gouge. Interviewer made me feel comfortable. Missed a couple questions but when he walked me through it, I was able to answer them. They are not looking for perfection. Scenario was runway closed due to aircraft wheels up landing. If you study this gouge, be personable, and explain your thought process during the CRM phase, you will be extremely prepared. Good luck... -

Interviewed by younger female 2nd year F.O. She was polite, very serious almost to a point of insincerity. Started off with introductions, review of logbook. HR questions first. (view the study guide of this website). Moved on to technical. Basically asked everything listed on previous gouges. I was surprised with a handful of VFR map questions. Total interview time was 2hrs 15mins, HR part 30 mins, rest technical. Finished up with how long it should take to hear a response. Asked if I... -

Interview was very laid back. Interviewer was a younger FO. Everyone says the study guide prepares you well and my experience was exactly that. Started with basic intros, total hours, recent hours, confirming documents, etc. From there we went into HR questions, "why skywest". Ran through a couple scenarios, FA smelling like alcohol, Captain wanting to continue an unstable approach, and diverting due to airport closure. Technical was pretty straightforward. Looked at some signs, markings,... -

I was interviewed by a training FO and retitled Captain. After introductions the Captain muted his mic, turned off his camera and allowed the FO to run the entire interview. Updated flight times and then briefed a flight from SFO to SEA. Walked through weather briefing, taxi, takeoff, departure procedure and approach. Worked in technical systems questions throughout, coffin corner, Mach buffet/tuch, swept wing characteristics and V speeds. Asked to explain the engine on the 175 but all other... -

Super relaxed which helped calm my overall nerves going into the interview. Started off with introductions and then we hopped into verifying my documents that were submitted and all my times including 30/60/90 making sure everything checked out and what sort of ATP rating I qualify for then I was asked why SkyWest which was the only HR question asked of me and from there we jumped into Technical subjects and scenarios which are all in this... -

The interview felt very laid back and conversational, it lasted about 1.5 hours. I was lucky enough to receive the captain that lead my interview prep course for my interview, so I was already prepared with the general outline of the flow he used. We initially talked about logbook hours, aircraft preference, went through documents etc. The HR portion mostly consisted of me introducing myself and talking about my flying experience. The technical portion took just over an hour. We Started with... -

Interview started with getting flight hours and 30/60/90/365 times. My recent times were lower than average due to holidays and outside factors. Started with talking about myself, then went right into technical areas. Was asked about reading METAR and TAF, you should know absolutely everything you can about these. Talked about filing alternate minimums, runway markings like displaced thresholds, symbols on taxi diagram, briefed jeppesen approach plate, talked about how a jet engine works,... -

Guy was an older captain who had been with SkyWest for he said 40+ years. Started off chill, reviewing times, aviation background, what got you into aviation/your story. Preflight actions, METAR/TAFs, IAP with a Jepp chart, brief it and questions with it, then to airport signage including ILS critical boundary. Alternates, what makes you need one, what is the rules with them? Electrical system on 172 and the a jet, AC/DC power, what battery/alternator does, he wanted specifics. Swept wing...
