  • Read Page 1 ... control in a stall, how does a turbofan engine work, what is bypass air, why do we use so much bypass air, what kind of systems does a jet have, what do we use bleed air for, what about hydraulics, what kind of power does the plane have, why do use AC instead of DC, how to you convert between ac and dc (inverters and rectifiers). We talked about anticipated and unanticipated threats, time and no time threats, and discussed how emergencies are usually handled. Asked me what to do if you get a hot start or if a circuit breaker pops. Next we talked about jepp charts, discussed a hot spot, asked me about what markings you would see where and what they look like, mandatory hold short sign, taxiway signs, runway remaining signs, ILS critical area, and displaced thresholds. We went into a scenario flying along and having a small issue...

Interview experience was great. Interviewed with a FO. Started with introductions, followed by standard HR questions TMAAT, etc. Then he asked questions like â??what would you do ifâ?¦â? scenario based CRM questions. Moved into technical related questions after that. This website did a great job preparing me. He asked me questions about METAR/TAFs, alternate requirements, Jeppesen charts including briefing an approach, a couple questions about the aircraft I fly, basic engine theory,...

My interviewer seemed in his 40â??s and was quick, straight to the point. It only lasted 1 hour. I logged on as soon as the call opened and we immediately started on basic questions like my hours, my medical, have I ever had any accidents, etc. Then he asked HR questions. Introduced myself, why Skywest, failures and successes, core values, etc. This was only a third of the interview and the rest was technical. Weather, taxiway signs, jeppesen charts, aerodynamics, jet systems and at the end...

Everything went as expected. I logged in 15 minutes early and waited for the interviewer. The first portion of the interview focused on introductions and HR-style questions, (view the study guide of this website).  The interview then transitioned into technical questions. There were also questions on airport signage and interpreting Jeppesen airport diagrams. Additionally, I was quizzed on SIDs, STARs, and approach plate symbology, along with topics.   Overall, the interview was...

Overall a laid back but professional interview. Started off with documents and talking for the first 20-30 minutes. Spoke about preferred aircraft and base and then hit some common HR questions. We then got into the technical and CRM scenario section. We then got into rapid fire technical questions, study the guide on here and you'll be fine. Overall this took about an hour and then the last part was for a CRM scenario, (view the study guide of this website, including the Sim/Scenario...

Great experience with my interview. Jumped straight into experience review, aircraft / base preference, etc. HR was about 20 minutes, but a HUGE determination in the outcome of the interview. They know / expect you to already be proficient in IFR knowledge / operations, procedures, etc, but want to make sure they can fly with you for 4 hours in the cockpit. Be yourself and do not be a robot. They can tell if your HR answers have been rehearsed, and thats a red flag. Sell yourself! After HR,...

I was interviewed by a FO stationed in Phoenix, AZ. We started with brief chit chatting, then we went over my Flight times. After which he had me tell my " how I got into aviation" story. He followed by asking me questions on Aerodynamics, the weather, types of ice, derived alternate, exemption 17347, airport signs, and jeppesen plates symbols. I got stumped with one sign and a few Jeppesen symbols; I admitted I didn't know the answer. We continued into systems I went over the C172s...

Overall pretty laid back compared to some of the reports on here. 1hr 40 mins and 35 mins was HR. Surface level knowledge of high altitude aero, very basic questions about High Bypass engines. (view the study guide of this website)WX was brief a METAR and TAF. Wasn't anything crazy but I think it goes a long way if you know EVERYTHING past the remarks section. - Didn't brief an approach but ask questions about the approach plate. - Same for STAR and 10-9 form. (KDEN).  CRM Scenario....

Overall very technical heavy interview. Started with an overview of what will be covered then straight into my docs/times 30/60/90 and 12 month as well as night, pic, multi and inst times. Then standard HR. Know how to breif SID/STAR/Approach plates and chart symbology and what the 10-9A page is. After that went into high bypass turbofan and high altitude operations/ aerodynamics. 121 regs were asked throughout the interview with scenarios given. Finally ended with a CRM scenario. Interview...

Great Experience. Laid back, but very, very thorough - which i liked. Started with "housekeeping" Items, Tell about yourself, about the airline, etc. Then heavy technical, CRM, scenario, etc. At the end was told exceptional candidate, low 30/60/90 totals may hurt, but he doesn't make the decision. Really positive experience. Prepare well and it will be almost...

Was a good interview that followed the gouge on here. After the basic hrs and HR questions the technical portion was done as a flight Preflight- talk about bleed air, Taxi/Airport diagram, flight- airspeeds, and so one. Interview was a FO and made the flow easy. If you study the information on here you will be...
