FREE United Airlines Flight Attendant Interview Information and Gouge
Interview experience:
I have only been through the initial interview with United, with my Final interview comming up in Chicago next thursday. I applied with United a couple of days after November 13th. I was not contacted by anyone until aroub Frbruary 5th. I was flown out to Washington DC to interview with "Spherion", which is doind Uniteds Preliminary Interviews. I was advised by Spherion to show up at 8:30am even though my interview wasnt until 2pm. I was told that it was a first come first serve. I arrived to the interview around 10am, knowing that I was late, but oddly enough no one noticed. Upon arrival you are told to sit in the "Cyber Cafe" which was nothing but a break room for the employees who worked there. The room had about 15 other people awaiting to be interviewed. The males, including myself were ALL wearing suits, and the females outfits ranged from casual to professional. The people of Spherion were VERY unprofessional and very hot tempered. They were flat out rude and had unesseccary attitudes. I waited in the "Cyber Cafe" until about 4pm with no food, no water, and no word of when it was my turn to interview. Thank god my returning flight didnt leave until 7:50pm. I was finally called back to interview. The questions in the interview consisted about previous work experience....nothing too harsh. Maintain eye contact and DONT talk too much.....be short and to the point. Throughout the interview i honestly felt that i was walking on eggshells with the interviewer, but she informed me on the spot that she is recommending me for a final interview with United at UAL headquarters. She advised that United is conservative and to wear an undershirt (of the suit jacket) that was all blue or all grey. If you are told by Spherion that you are being considered for the position and will be contact in a few weeks, you DID NOT make it to the next round. Also, if United is flying you out to Washington DC to interview with Spherion, DO NOT WEAR JEANS ON THE PLANE. My interview wasnt until the next day and a flight attendant kicked me out of first class for wearing jeans on a United Pass. Dress business casual on your flight. My final interview is March 3rd 2006, and I will post my experiences. I honestly was hoping that someone has already undergone the final interview lol....hopefully this helps someone out.to get the remaining 27 gouges on United Airlines.
