Interview experience:
SWA Interview 07 Jan 02
Arrived DAL 1230 06 Jan. Van to Radisson NW. Lunch at Chiles (down the block to the left of the hotel).
1700 the hotel bar. Met a SWA FO in Dallas for recurrent. Former P3 guy. Was there with an Active duty Navy bud. Talked about new hire classes. He was told in recurrent there were 8 classes scheduled over the next four months. Also was told there were 160 guys in the pool.
1730 left the bar to meet a friend (SWA captain). Returned to the bar @ 1750. There were about 8 SWA guys there. My bud knew half of them. Shot the breeze for a while. My status as a SWA wannabe came up after a while. Turns out one of the guys was there to do interviews on the 7th. Drank beer and joked around with these guys for about 2 hours. Called it a night about 2100. Went to bed with a big smile on my face.
0530 out of the rack.
0600 breakfast at the I-HOP (out the hotel turn right 100 yards).
0630 back in hotel. Set up a late checkout for 1400 (no additional charge). This worked out great as my flight out wasn’t unitl 1550. Upstairs for the three S’s.
0715 in the lobby. Met two other wannabe’s and several SWA guys waiting for the van (including the interviewer I h
