Frontier Airlines Pilot Interview:

Hello fellow street pounders. The following is my interview experience at Frontier Airlines.

Walked in. Greeted by HR receptionist. Then by Linda kellerman, HR pilot recruiter. She took me to a back room and gave me an application to fill out. Before I got too far she interrupted me and said we would go ahead and start the HR portion of the interview. It was very informal and she went out of her way to make me feel comfortable.

HR Questions:

What would your peers say about you as a pilot?
Tell me about a difficult experience you had while flying
Why Frontier
Tell me about a difficult Captain you had to fly with and how you handled it
What do you like about flying

Next the Chief Pilot and another line pilot came in.

Pilot Questions:

System questions on the airplane I used to fly, B737. Pressurization, Hydraulics.
Four segments of an instrument approach.
If the weather is below mins, can you shoot the approach, what about after intercepting GS?
Gen Light comes on and Captain doesn’t care. What would you do?
Tell us a CRM story
What would you do if Captain and Flight attendant don’t get along and it is affecting safety? (you are flying the whole month with them)
Asked if I was willing to resign from airline I’m on furlough from

Both pilots were super layed back. They wore Polo shirts. I continued to work on the application for a while after they left the room. They came back in and said I was hired.

The application is straightforward. It has a flight time grid, but it’s not too difficult. Building is impressive. Everyone is very friendly. It’s a sort of big family atmosphere. Hope this helps. Good luck!
