It was a full day event. Started at the Alaska Hub center. Greeted the recruiters and went into a room where they talked about Alaskaâ??s future. They are very passionate and do a great job selling you on why Alaska; definitely want you to be there. After the presentation, we divided into two groups for the CRM scenario sessions. That consisted of a brief tmay, your company, and something you accomplished this year. Then an actual tmaat scenario; dealers choice. Not overly complicated. Took... -

We started the day in the lobby, where they kept us together. Afterward, they took us into a group presentation and collected our logbooks. During the group portion of the interview, separated us down the middle 6 panelists and 8 candidates each of us were asked to introduce ourselves. After that, we were each given a CRM scenario card with an individualized question to answer. Scenario Exercise: 2 applicants using CRM working together using a METAR, release and all available resources to... -

Same footprint as the other submissions. Plenty of opportunities for questions - we were asked 3 times. Group TMAAT: …your integrity was questioned…you disagreed with an instruction given from a non-pilot person. There were at least 10 questions to choose from when they had them face down and went around the room to have you draw one. Interview: TMA your resume…your flight history. Why Alaska? Who’s your aviation role model? What will be your biggest challenge...

Exactly as advertised. Had about 3 weeks notice before the interview to begin preparing. I chose to drive to the interview the night before where they provided a hotel. Very relaxed experience. The first presentation is the same one they give at their meet the chiefs event. They want you to succeed! No gotcha questions or anything outside of this gouge. Class dates are out a few months at the...

Whole process was very straightforward. From start to finish, Alaska made it clear they were favoring personalities over technical ability. They left our group to talk amongst ourselves for the majority of the day (09:15-3:45). After an hour-long presentation by the Chief pilots, a group interview was conducted. Group interview was quick, involving only an introduction and a single question per person. Individual interviews came after an hour long lunch. While waiting for our turn, we...
