FREE Atlas Air pilot interview information and gouge

The interview was very close to what others said it would be in the past. Due to the Corona Virus everything was via phone and Online. I received the prescreen interview phone call one week after my resume was submitted internally. Once you get done with that and are successful they set up the three part Skype interview/corporate presentation events. There was technical difficulties on my corporate presentation so they had to reschedule everyone for the next presentation. Right now all presentations are done on Mondays and Thursdays.... 1. Aug 05, 2020 Good interview. Basic questions. The review has all of them that I was asked in one or another. If you use the study guide from Atlas in combination with the questions here you will be well... Continue reading this interview experience

  2. Aug 04, 2020 Great experience overall, I reviewed the materials from this website and the documents they sent me the day before. Study all that and you will do fine, no surprises from the previous recent interviews. Very relaxed, I felt at ease from the beginning. They told us during the mandatory presentation that they were filling out classes for Oct/November now. They will ask you which airplane you would prefer, so be ready to answer that... 3. Jul 29, 2020 Easy, relaxed interview. Just be yourself. The technical interview did feel like an oral exam, but the interviewer put me at ease. There seemed to be a couple questions not on the gouge, like what are the segments of climb. Other than that, study the guide they sent. Good... Continue reading this interview experience

  4. Jul 28, 2020 I applied last week of March 2020 and received invited to phone screen second week of June 2020. Interview was set up for July 28. They are hiring for all class types for end of October and November right now. Some key points and differences to what’s already on here. The HR questions are specific to your background and tech questions change every week. I didn’t get any weakness vs strengths or what would you do if captain was drunk or tell me about a times. Asked about my... Continue reading this interview experience

  5. Jul 28, 2020 Very straight forward. Everyone was very nice, very professional and put you at ease. The HR portion was your typical questions found here in the gouge, resume review, and a few situational type questions from the interviewing captain. It all felt conversational, and I didn't feel like there were any gotcha questions. The virtual interview is a little odd at first, but as long as everything works, it will go smoothly. The tech portion was as advertised here. There were a couple of questions,... Continue reading this interview experience

  6. Jul 28, 2020 The technical interview material covered was provided by Atlas and was very straight forward. Nothing too difficult. The interview was conducted via Skype and was very relaxed. No gotchas just study the material they provided and read the technical questions on this website and you will do fine. The HR interview pretty much followed the questions provided on AviationInterviews for the most part. Good... Continue reading this interview experience

  9. Jun 24, 2020 Really relaxed, HR asked me to tell me about myself, strengths vs weakness, how to handle conflict in the cockpit, how do we do CRM in a single piloted aircraft, how we brief and debrief and how did I prepare for the tech interview. Tech panel was even more relaxed, V1, V2, SLOP, great circle discussion, if I lost 1 engine after takeoff on a 747 would I continue The transoceanic crossing. That was it, we had some connection issues with the call so it was definitely shorter than normal, but... Continue reading this interview experience

  10. Jun 03, 2020 "Virtual interview". Basic HR questions including "tell me about a captain you had an issue with." Tech questions - All questions were straight forward. Example: Used JEPP charts, approach for MIA and taxi diagram. Asked questions about the approach. What are the t/o minimums, looking at the weather, do you need a t/o alternate. If you are at FL300 and ATC asked you to decend to FL200 by a specific VOR, when would you start your descent and how did you come up with... Continue reading this interview experience
