We've Aviation Professionals Prepare for their Interviews!
  • The interview process was very straightforward. We started off in a small room where we handed over all of our documents. They took our documents into a separate room, and they guided us upstairs to a large conference room, where they told us all about the company, after that we waited for about 30 minutes and they pulled us down downstairs one by one to do interviews . They started off my interview with some basic technical questions, (view the study guide of this website).  Then we transitioned to two or three HR questions....

Very relaxed day of the interview. 5 HR questions and 20-30 technical questions. Be personable with the HR questions, be more checkride-like with the technical questions. Great people and great experience. Make sure you get the breakfast burrito, it will change your life. Once you get to HQ they will take your documents and look over those while they take you up to a conference room for questions, breakfast, and a presentation about the company. They'll bring you down to a waiting room in...

Fantastic experience. All employees along the way knew why I was going to Dallas. FA's wished me luck on my flight out. Hotel for a night then to Envoy HQ. 7 applicants. 4 Cadets and 3 FO. 4/4 Cadets hired, 2/3 FO hired. They took our logbooks and docs first thing. Quick pre brief then they moved us upstairs. HR did a presentation on the company (benefits, pay, schedule, bases...). Then we went page by page through the files they had on us to make sure all info was correct. They bought us...

First of all, every single pilot & recruiter that I met and interacted with was extremely welcoming and friendly. A lot of the other experiences on this website say that, "They want you to be there," and I couldn't agree more. Their attitudes, and their hospitality, were top notch. Our group consisted of three First Officer Candidates, and two Envoy Air Cadet Candidates. As said on here before, we started our morning in the lobby of the hotel. I arrived at 5:45am, and we boarded our...

Exactly as described by others, in terms of the sequence of events. We were a small group, with 5 FOs and 1 cadet interviewing. Everyone at HQ was super friendly and welcoming. The interview was also casual and relaxed. We went back and forth between HR and technical questions, and both interviewers were filling out a sheet with my answers. No surprises on the questions, no gotchas. Just solid IFR and Jepp questions. No TMAAT or even checkride failure questions were asked. They seem to be...

Everything was as the reviews said it would be. Interviewed with 5 cadets and I was one of the 4 FOs. Interview was straight forward and I thought I did really well. Technical was not too bad if you know JEPP. Take your time and verify your answer but don't overthink takeoff minimums, they were just listed on the 10-9. 2 FO and 4 Cadets got the job. Confused by the outcome a bit as the highest time people in there were the ones who walked away without a CJO. To be fair I'm sure my interview...

Overall great experience, they want you to be there! If traveling out to the interview dress the part and follow the dress code for traveling. Shuttle leaves at 6:15ish in the morning so get to the lobby around 5:50 and just talk to the other candidates in the lobby to ease your nerves. First thing you do at HQ is hand over logbooks and fill some paperwork out. Then you go upstairs to go over more paperwork and have a presentation with an hr rep for about an hour while eating breakfast....

All of the other reports on here are spot on. If you are invited to interview they want to hire you, don't give them a reason not to. Dress well, be professional, be friendly. The real addition here that I wanted to add was that your knowledge can't be only rote on the technical portion, they want to see you apply the knowledge... its not just Q &A. The interviewers said that the HR has equal weight as the Technical. The only one who was not successful was the least personable in the...

Everything on this gouge and reviews were spot on. The van leaves on time from the hotel, so BE EARLY. We spent some time verifying paperwork, getting our breakfast order, and getting the presentation from the recruiter. They were all super friendly and down-to-earth, and really were trying to make you feel welcomed. Just remember to keep engaging in conversation and read the room because the ones who were hired my day kept up a stream of conversation to each other and seemed excited and...
