We've Aviation Professionals Prepare for their Interviews!
  • The JSX team truly is a wonderful group of people. They make you feel immediately at ease and comfortable in their presence and they really do care about the camaraderie among their team and creating a family environment. The interview itself was pretty straight forward. I was in a group of 6, and each of us was paired with another pilot of similar experience for the chief pilot and technical portions. HR portion was done individually. For the chief pilot portion, they just want to get to know you, your aviation experience and background, and why you want to work for JSX. It really just feels like a vibe check. Can they spend time with you as an individual while flying or working with you and enjoy that connection? And are you a good fit...

You will be paired up with another candidate. You meet down in the lobby of the hotel. One of the recruiters will greet you and hand you a red folder. This is where you will put all your documents that were required for you to bring. Make sure everything is labeled and organized. - There were two rooms. One of the recruiters will call you and the other candidate and bring you into the room. - HR will start by introducing themselves. Then they will give you an opportunity to talk about you...

I was referred in house, the process was lightning fast. I submitted my application, within a week I was assigned an interview date, and within a week following the interview I was given a training date. We interviewed in pairs, and when one was slow answering a question the other spoke up. It was a relaxed, enjoyable process, and I felt fully prepared following this...

It was a great process. Interview done in pairs. Heard back a week from my interview. Show the interviewers that you are team player and be personable. Have good questions to ask at the end. I heard back a week after my interview. Know the company. Watch the presentation not just once. Seems they really like personality and customer...

Day started meeting in the lobby of the hotel where current employees are moving around meeting applicants. They then came out and grabbed me and another applicant to interview together where it was then a panel style interview. The questions that were asked can all be found on this website and were only over topics that they told us would be discussed in an email prior to the interview. Interview lasted about an hour, and then we were dismissed to go back home. It took a little less than a...

All of the previous interview experiences were accurate. I happened to be alone during the interview was my exception, but all others were paired up. Since I was prior military, the Chief Pilot focused alot on Jeppesen SID, STAR, plates and charts. He kept asking random questions until I missed an item and then would move along. Gave a METAR, NOTAMs and a clearance and asked if we could "go". This went back/forth with alot of what-ifs for about 30 min. MCO-MIA. No real questions from HR...

Megan in HR met us at the hotel lobby. She escorted us to the interview room with Mark and Brian ? Very laid back interview. They tell you about themselves and the culture of the company. Then the candidates get to tell them about themselves. There is a technical section on take off runways and landing runways.  Know that the takeoff performance is from brake release/Takeoff Pwr to 35'. His example was of a 3000' takeoff run and wah=hat does that mean? Landing was regarding 50' over the...

The interview proceeded in line with other recent interview feedback. The team first conducted a joint briefing/Q&A about JSX generally on a virtual call with a slate of applicants, and asked for availability for in-person interviews. They then brought folks in for interviews at a hotel in Dallas. The interview was conducted in three sessions with multiple applicants each: technical, culture, and chief pilot. Technical again matched other feedback, with a focus on runway distances,...
