FREE Omni Air International pilot interview information and gouge

Great group of people and a growing company with a bright future. Pay for your own flight there but they get your hotel, pick you up for the interview, and provide coffee, snacks, and lunch. Picked up in 2 SUVs and drove 30 minutes to headquarters. Very friendly and engaging and made the drive go quickly. Once there we met with an assistant chief pilot and HR and they told us to get comfortable. Totally cool with taking jacket and ties off.... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

  1. Oct 03, 2019 Everything on this site was spot on. Omni provided an awesome experience and made you feel like they wanted you to succeed. We met at the hotel lobby and were driven to the interview site at the Tech College. We were given an overview of Omni and told what to expect for the day. The HR and Tech portion were done at the same time. Nothing out of the ordinary. For the tech portion it was brief an approach, asked a few questions about the approach plate and then a few HR questions. Why Omni,... Continue reading this interview experience

  2. Jun 20, 2019 My process was no different from others that had mentioned here. The environment was very laid back. The HR and the assistant chief pilot were very friendly. The process began with the introduction of the company, schedules, future plans, fleet, benefits, etc. They pretty much gave us full transparency about the company and gave us a chance to interview to company. After that, they began the interview process (HR and technical). There were only two candidates, and I went first. General HR... Continue reading this interview experience

  3. Straight forward questions. Just be yourself. The people are really nice. Prepare yourself by knowing what you are going to say to the obvious questions:  Look at the other gouge, you will find spot on, what you are looking for.. Practice with Flight Sim, it will help with Omni’s non-motion simulator evaluation. Good... Continue reading this interview experience

  4. Interview was very straight forward. Standard HR questions and JEPP questions from the chief pilot. Also an eval in the 777 simulator. Takeoff, vectors, raw data ILS. They let us know that day if we got the job or not. Everyone was nice and there was no good-cop/bad-cop routine. . They let us know that day if we got the job or not. 5. As many previously described, laid back environment. Everyone is super nice! They provide the hotel but you have to get yourself there. Interview process consisted of a sim session and an HR and tech portion. Lunch was served as well. Sim was probably the hardest part just because its very sensitive as previously mentioned on here. Don't over control it and youll be... Continue reading this interview experience

  7. SIMM was pretty easy. 777 stationary model. All the other reviews are pretty spot on. They just want to see what kind of scan and basic piloting skill you have. Hard to believe some pilots have crashed it, but they say “You would be surprised”. My SIMM session went fine, was complemented by the SIMM instructor so was feeling pretty good when it came my turn for the 2 on one interview with HR lead and a Captain management guy. Both were super nice and it was low pressure. I felt... Continue reading this interview experience

  9. Very straight forward interview with 2 people in the room, each very nice. Had my logbook printed and bound which was appreciated. Usual HR questions, nothing unusual or noteworthy. I got the impression there were a few she may have chosen from, but it was conversational and pleasant. Tech questions from Assistant C.P. were also straight forward. Read an approach and brief it, comments on the approach lighting system and how that affected the bottom of the approach as we progressed. Gave... Continue reading this interview experience

  10. A relaxed interview atmosphere. The people come across as genuine. HR portion asked the typical questions about why you want to work for Omni, what would you do if someone else called you for a job, etc. The technical questions I was asked were over some Jepp plates. Basic knowledge stuff. As for the sim, it is a 777 sim, and flies very much like the actual plane from what I'm told. Keep in mind it is a jet so don't manhandle it. Gentle! I found N1 around 53-58% worked. As for climbs or... Continue reading this interview experience
