FREE United Parcel Service pilot interview information and gouge

Arrived 5 minutes before report time of 0815. Signed in and was given a visitor badge. A few minutes later I was greeted by a nice retired captain who would be conducting my sim eval. He showed me around and then we sat for a while which he explained the process of the day and the sim profile. He took all required paperwork and logbooks and they were viewed by another office during the sim eval. (view the... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

  1. Jun 24, 2020 Interviewed with an HR person and retired pilot. Very welcoming and conversational interview. All the normal ‘admin’ questions to begin. Verify hours, aircraft currently flying, education, etc. They each gave an introduction about themselves before asking me to give an intro of professional background, personal background, or combination of both. Asked general questions (view the study guide of this website).  A couple questions on my international experience with the... Continue reading this interview experience

  2. Jun 03, 2020 The current gouge is very consistent and accurate. The interview was very relaxed, be ready to have a nice chat about UPS (history to current affairs), your self and flying! However, don't forget that it is still a very important interview so maintain a professional demeanor. You might experience mixed feedback during the interview; remember they are just doing their job and want to see how you react to different situations and types of interactions. Brush up on technicals topics: Descend... Continue reading this interview experience

  3. May 25, 2020 Online interview. Went exactly as expected. Know why you want to work there and background about UPS. Know approach plates and how to brief them, along with holding, basic instrument stuff, weather, etc. 1+20 total, mostly HR and how you will deal with flying at night and fatigue. Judgment question about going around on unstabilized approach and then what - safety... Continue reading this interview experience

  4. Apr 28, 2020 Online interview. Very very friendly and professional. Same questions just asked in different ways. They want to get to know... Continue reading this interview experience

  6. Apr 03, 2020 Online interview with one HR and one pilot. Very informal. Resume walk through, a few WWYD, and a few scenarios in my current airplane (767). A little about the history of the company. Was told would be called to come for a sim evaluation at a later date, but have not heard back yet. Current gouge is spot... 7. Mar 26, 2020 Online interview, with HR and a retired Chief Pilot. CJO offered w/o sim. I was asked several HR type Questions, (view the study guide of this website). Walk us through your resume, and a WWYD question.  Very friendly... Continue reading this interview experience

  8. Mar 17, 2020 Interview was very relaxed. All the questions asked can be found on previous feedback reports. They are spot on. Then Sim, (view the sim/scenario section of this website).  Left totally not knowing one way or another. Best of... Continue reading this interview experience

  9. Mar 13, 2020 My interview experience closely matched the previous gouges..I did the Sim next, (view the Sim/Scenario section of this website).  The HR portion was a very pleasant experience. In addition to the typical gouge questions (tell us about you, why UPS, conflict stuff), they spent a good deal of time dissecting my resume and asking about past experiences. I believe that the key to this interview is preparation and presentation of who you really are. Go in there with a huge smile, a good... Continue reading this interview experience

  10. Mar 09, 2020 I arrived at 6am for the 6:15 show at the Training Center. I was met by Mr. Niermeier who warmly welcomed me. The whole day is very relaxed but come prepared because they are a detailed-oriented company. Everyone I met in HR and pilot HR had decades of experience. Next Sim, (view the sim/scenario section of this website).  They will give you no feedback on the sim. We chit-chatted for about a half hour after the de-brief. It is a VERY relaxed environment; this is by design--they... Continue reading this interview experience
