We've Aviation Professionals Prepare for their Interviews!
  • The JSX team truly is a wonderful group of people. They make you feel immediately at ease and comfortable in their presence and they really do care about the camaraderie among their team and creating a family environment. The interview itself was pretty straight forward. I was in a group of 6, and each of us was paired with another pilot of similar experience for the chief pilot and technical portions. HR portion was done individually. For the chief pilot portion, they just want to get to know you, your aviation experience and background, and why you want to work for JSX. It really just feels like a vibe check. Can they spend time with you as an individual while flying or working with you and enjoy that connection? And are you a good fit...

I did not sleep the night before, incredibly nervous. The day of the interview, there were two sessions, a morning and an afternoon. I was in the afternoon session so I met the other applicants in the lobby of the hotel at 1pm. We were all pulled into a conference room with the staff that was present, and they had snacks, coffee, water, sodas, etc. They had little welcome packets for us, including a checklist for our required docs to bring (drivers license, pilot certs, medical, etc.) Then...

Technical questions relating to airport markings, runway markings, weather limitations for take off, SID / STAR altitudes. Lots of questions relating to accelerated stop/go. ALSF markings, runway edge lighting , center line lighting. Do not come into this without preparing. HR portion friendly. Megan is very good at making this a relaxed experience. Management pilots attended and were ingaging and fun to talk...

Very friendly and conversational for the HR portion. No sim evaluation but the technical was good, felt as if they just wanted to see a basic knowledge and see how you handled getting something wrong. Know where your landing distance...

They are Very laid back they care about your personality more then anything. They put you up at a nice hotel with breakfast and an everyone meets in the lobby. They come out and get your group and bring them into a conference room where they give you a presentation about the expansion ideas and growth of the company. After that they put the 8 of us in groups of two. And they split up. One group went to go to technical question and one group went to do get to know you questions with the Cheif...

Interview flow was as listed on other reviews. The team was amazing, truly a great experience. All experienced prior 121/military as their department heads. Great people from all departments. They want to hire you based on personality. As for technical, know your jepp charts and basic IFR requirements for part 135. CanĂ¢??t wait to join the...

The JSX interview day was a great experience from start to finish. We met in the hotel lobby around 7:40 that morning. There were eight of us in the group. An interviewer greeted us and had each person share their current job and the airplanes they were flying. We then moved into a meeting room where we gave one to two minute introductions and shared a fun fact. The morning began with a presentation about the company, their operation, and their culture. After the presentation, we split into...

I have loved flying on JSX for quite a while so I was excited when I got the email to sign up for the interview. Just like everyone else stated you will be interviewed in pairs except for the HR portion of the interview. Being on the higher side of hours and ratings, I knew I was at a disadvantage already since they are looking for people that are going to stay for a long time. Regardless for the most part it was a great interview experience but I do have a couple things I will mention at...

I applied and my interview was scheduled. There was no mixture or simulator evaluation. A total of 8 applicants interviewed that day: the first group at 8am and the second at 11am. **Company Overview** We gathered in the hotel boardroom where a JSX HR representative provided an overview of the company. The Director of Training, Director of Policy, West Coast Assistant Chief Pilot, and Texas Assistant Chief Pilot joined us, sharing their backgrounds and describing a day in the life of a JSX...

This is definitely a great culture to work in. They are growing fast. The interviews are low pressure and as advertised in all the reports here. If you are very low flight time come prepared with everything they ask you to bring. Study the questions on this site. Think about all your answers and how you would say them. The questions here are what is asked. Not all, obviously. If you are an old codger 121pilot like me, they need experienced pilots. You should have no issues with the answers....
