We've Aviation Professionals Prepare for their Interviews!
  • Read Page 1 ... management? Heard back 3-4 days later with the invite to CMH. This time it was only the sim eval and the logbook review with a series of briefs and a short tour. Everything from travel set up through the hiring event is done with very kind and professional people that care about the process and want you to feel welcome. We were assigned the Longitude sim. Sim partner and I chatted over the phone a few times before meeting up in CMH. You can tell in the lobby of the Aloft who all is going to be in your hiring event. Our class this round did a better job of getting phone numbers and at least mutually connecting all 12 interviewees. Sim was the EWR5 with a speed restriction of 200 knots into steep turns and the owner request to return for a left item. Vectors into the downwind for the ILS return. Have to hand fly the departure and the ILS past the "FAF". Other options include JFK and SFO. Same scenario for my sim partner who went second except we got a "runway incursion" go-around on his short final. Executed the profile to the FRA and the evaluator stopped the sim. Both rounds were overall pretty good no surprises whatsoever. The hardest thing we realized is the...

As briefed on this website. Professional experience from start to finish. Be yourself and study the callouts from the sim. First interview provide screening and information for both parties. Second interview reached a deeper depth regarding experience, TMAAT and the opportunity to discuss your history and how you can be a value to their operations. Third interview focused on company culture presentation and Sim which was relatively short with a basic profile including SID departure, steep...

First two interviews were very straight forward HR portions consisting of mainly TMAAT questions, many of which are listed on this site. More of a personality test more than an interview. Be your genuine self and answer honestly. The sim evaluation was also very straight forward. A normal takeoff, SID, steep turns, return back to field and ILS to landing or go-around. Make sure you are very familiar with NetJets callouts prior to sim evaluation. The callouts will be in the sim packet you...

This website has very accurate information. First interview was back in December it went well they do set you at ease and it's a friendly conversational tone and a great experience. I had a time conflict come up shortly before the first interview that prevented me from being able to start in following days and they graciously allowed me to touch base a couple months later and then scheduled the second interview. Second interview was with a fleet director (their equivalent of a chief pilot)...

Interviews with recruiter first and then with retired NetJets pilot went as described in previous postings here. (view the study guide of this website).  The TMAAT questions are all in the lists provided on this site. I started each answer with how safety is a key component of that scenario. When you get the invite to CMH it will be for a group information session, the logbook review and simulator evaluation. The best thing for the logbook is have an 8710 form printed from an electronic...

First interview was with pilot recruiter. The tmaat questions I got were tell me about a time when you felt pressured to compromise safety during a flight or leading up to a flight, and the other one was tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a customer. All the rest were simple, tell me about yourself. Why netjets. And simple yes or no answer questions. Heard back about a day later to schedule interview #2. Second interview was with a chief pilot. Basically just a conversation....

The interviews are straightforward. Be prepared to have specific examples about times you have had to deal with safety issues and potential integrity violations. Be honest and humble, everyone you talk to will be super nice people. Know the callouts for the sim evaluation and take your time. They arenâ??t there to trick you but they do want to see you will be thorough. Above all be polite and engaging with everyone you meet. They want to get to know you rather than how impressive a pilot...

The first interview was HR-focused. It was only about 15-minutes long. We went through my aviation history and questions related to customer service and safety. Everything was straightforward and laid back. At the end of the call, I got invited to do the second interview, which took place less than a week later. The second interview was much more in depth. It was with a fleet director, which is essentially an assistant chief pilot of a specific fleet. It lasted roughly 50 minutes. He did...

Just did the HR interview over the phone. Lasted less than 30 minutes. Recruiter started the interview with HR type questions.   Also asked a few TMAAT questions. (view the study guide of this website).  After that the recruiter asked basic application/resume questions like flight time, ATP written test completion, drug tests, felonies etc. The interview concluded. Overall it felt very conversational rather than someone drilling you with difficult...

Website does a good job getting you prepared. 1st interview is teams, your classic HR walk through and questions. 2nd is also teams but with a pilot and a is similar to 1st but more flying related. In person is a full day in Columbus. Good presentations and lots of information on the company. Lots of emphasis on the sim, make the grade or you wonâ??t get the offer. Best of...
