  • Applied after talking to PSA at a conference online. Within a few days got an email to schedule the HR portion of the interview, which was over the phone and just a logbook/hour review and got asked "Why PSA?", but no other HR questions. Scheduled the technical then and was sent a study guide that mainly had some tips/tricks and a few old Jepp plates, but nothing that was directly used on my interview. My interview was with a current PSA FO and started with a logbook review and just confirmed my hours followed by a few HR questions -- Why PSA (again) and what qualities I think about in a good leader and follower. Then started the technical portion. He shared his screen with me and began with me decoding a Metar (pretty tough one with some unusual and rarer things on it) and asked if I need a takeoff alternate, followed by showing me a...

The flight scenario was from KORD - KDFW I was shown a Metar and TAF for KORD and KDFW, and was asked to read them. The temps were depicted in the negatives, which threw me off for a moment, and also BLSN I was asked if we needed a takeoff alternate, and how I knew that. She brought up the taxi diagram and asked me to brief a taxi route, and asked about hotspots. She brought up the Ohare 8 departure and asked me a few questions about different symbols Asked me to brief the BRDJE5...

The questions were based on material from the designated website. I reviewed METARs and TAFs, and was asked to interpret a TAF and determine whether an alternate airport was required. I was also asked about RVSM flight levels and the electrical system of the aircraft I currently fly. While I wasn't required to brief an approach plate or STAR, the interviewer did ask several questions related to the charts. Overall, the interview was fairly...

I applied cadet program for PSA as a senior because I almost have 1500 Hours. I applied the cadet program when I just got over 1000 hours. If you prepared the cadet interview, those are questions are enough to prepare for everything. Just one thing that I want you guys to say that start to study about Jepp Chart for SID, STAR, airport diagram symbols and ILS LOC approach chart. interviewers's question is pretty straightforward so you guys don't need to worry about it. And study weather...

Study the material they send you, the questions may not be the exact approach, SIDs, STARs, and taxi diagrams that they send, use them to get used to Jepp plates if you aren’t already. If you study the questions here and learn the 121 rules, you’ll be just fine, ask your mentor too to review with you if you have one. Know systems of current airplane as well. Hot spots, ARP, and beacon on taxi...

My senior cadet interview was this month. It was virtual and it was held over Teams. I highly recommend wearing a suit even if it's virtual, making sure the sound and audio is great (they seemed to appreciate this). I went into the virtual meeting room 15 mins earlier than the start time. There was no HR person, just one FO and one CA. They were VERY laid back and they calmed my nerves very quickly. They started with asking a little bit about myself and the typical "Why PSA?". Do...

After applying it took about 4 weeks to receive an email to schedule a phone screening. The phone screening consisted of going over all off my hours, making sure I had a valid passport, FCC, medical, etc and then at the end of the call we scheduled the technical interview for 5 days later. The technical interview was with one FO (or captain I am not sure). He started by going over my hours once more and confirming times, and then asked "Why PSA?" and other technical questions,...

Was interview by 2 first officers. Brief HR part with standard questions and then technical: Was given a flight from detroit to Charlotte, Asked to read a TAF and METAR, asked if I could takeoff or not using the Departure minimums on the chart, Asked if I needed an Alternate said no using 123 rule, Asked to brief Taxi route things to look for (hot spot, xwind correction) ODP, STAR, Approac (altitude and airspeed limitations, do this approach need DME). Was asked holding speeds, and to...

Everything I read on hear was accurate, saw and heard nothing new. 121 operations, a few thing on mins such as if we were cat 1 vs 2. Filing a take off alternate. Metar and taf was simple, study. Look at plates they’ve sent you, couple small things on chart symbols. Nothing hard, they were pretty cool and treated it similar to a...

Everything from this website was extremely helpful and informative. Can't say there was much change. Metar and taf were great and they had me plan and alternate takeoff. Had me go through a couple multi things and system on my previous flown plane. Wasn’t completely simple the way they ask things, some took a little digging but others were ol and it went well. They were cool and...

Very strighfroward, Few HR questions listed in the guide, STARS and SIDs on jeppesen, few questions about the approach plate and few general part 91...

  11. I found that the content was highly relevant and well-structured for aviation interviews. What stood out was how closely the questions mirrored what I actually faced in real interviews.
