The interview was about 2 1/2 hours in total. The interviewing pilot was a young FO and conducted all of the interview questions. When we started it kind of reminded me of the beginning of a checkride. He spent a long time talking about himself and his background at Skywest and making it a relaxed environment. He's worked for the company for over 27 years as a Captain. After this, he asked me about my background and how I got into aviation. Then we went through flight times. Super laid back environment. Started off introducing each other, going over hours (have them written down) and going over documents and any that may need to be updated. Asked me about myself and asked why SkyWest and what I thought my biggest struggle may be with training. Took a 5 min break and then went right into technical stuff. I’ll start by saying the interview was incredibly laid back and relaxed. I had a 9:00am interview time and logged in at about 8:45am and was brought in a few minutes later.
