  1. 1. (Oct 14, 2025) What is your leadership style?
    • I said my leadership style is adaptive, it depends on the skill of those I’m leading and the task/project at hand.
    • I said that it’s an adaptive style. I’m in the military, sometimes my job is to delegate tasks and manage a project, sometimes I lead the project. I also related it to flight instruction, a new student needs more instruction, but then I slowly back away encouraging independence and confidence as their skills grow.

    • Captain at Breeze and the airline growing substancially
  3. 3. (Oct 10, 2025) What does exceptional customer service mean to you?
    • Treating the customer like a human being. Going above what is just required of you. Performing your duties with a smile.
    • More than going above and beyond it is empathizing with our customers. We won’t always be able to do what they want but how they feel about the conversation matters. They need to feel heard and understood and believe that we are doing everything we can.
    • From the first interaction with the customer, I always make my best to demonstrate availabity to help with their necessity, give better options if possible, be prepared to clarify any doubts and be sure you'll gain a customer that will return soon.
  4. 4. (Aug 02, 2025) Have you ever seen an unsafe thing about to happen, how did you stop it?
    • The ramp worker forgot did not close one of our luggage compartments properly and I told him to go recycle it.
    • During a training lesson when clearing the outside area visually. I noticed that a cone hadn't been removed before the flight. That could have been a big issue for the trainer and I.
    • I had this one on the prerecorded interview and the actual interview. I used a scenario of a new instructor about to take off into poor weather and having him shutdown. We discussed weather ADM in private.
    • Riding in the back of the pilatus on a repo leg noticed crew had selected the incorrect flap setting. At the hold short line I advised the crew "it looks like flaps are not set properly" they corrected the issue. It was a very short runway 2600 feet.
    • Yes, during takeoff run, at the 100 kts callout and crosscheck, I noticed a unreliable airspeed indication and we immediately rejected the takeoff. As a consequence, 2 tires blowed out , but we managed to safely vacate the rwy and the aircraft was offloaded normally by the doors. Aircraft change and delay was necessary, but safety first !
    • I noticed another plane at our flight school who had a very flat looking nosewheel, but was already started up. I took a picture, texted it to the instructor and motioned to the instructor to look at his phone. He shut down and took a different plane.

    • No
  6. 6. (Oct 15, 2025) Do you have any check ride failures?
    • No
    • Yes, I had to retake the flight portion of my Instrument check ride. I flew poorly during the VOR DME arc approach. I did a review lesson with my instructor and did well on my second attempt.
  7. 7. (Aug 24, 2025) What was your reason for leaving your last job?
    • family emergency
    • As a flight instructor working at a far away location. It was difficult to pay my bills while getting few hours and driving long distances. This was my primary factor when seeking my current position.
  8. 8. (Jun 21, 2025) How have you helped in your community?
    • During the pandemic my old flight school had problems getting enough flight instructors so I went back to help as a CFI on my spare time to help out.
    • I volunteer my time and skills at our local theater. I helped them build their stage, paint, install lights, donated furniture and created 3D models for promotion. Its one of the few places people can gather for free and let off steam. Especially in a time where money is tight and coming out of the lockdowns from last year.

    • My best friend is a Captain at Breeze and he can't stop talking about this new amazing airline. And they have a new Airbus!
    • Having a CEO with a proven track record who is actively creating a great working environment with new aircraft. Is a very motivating reason to join this new and growing airline.

    • I'm from New Orleans, have an 8yr old son, 25 yr retired Navy helicopter guy, football lover, love to fish, avid reader (4 per month) last book was Talking to Strangers by Malcolm Gladwell (explores nuances of communication and miscommunication complicated by socio-economic and political factors.
    • I'm 40 years old, was born in Brazil, been in an airline market for about 14 years, flew different types of arcft. I love reading investment books, I'm passionated for soccer.
    • I am Mexican-American, raised in Georgia, have traveled to many countries, my favorite books are Sci-Fi, exercise by weight lifting and riding bicycles thru the park and I enjoy comedy and Improv theatre.
    • I’m about to have my 20 year anniversary to my wife and we got married right before I joined the Army. I have three boys and a daughter and my daughter is the youngest and we adopted her from China. They are the biggest consideration for me with any company.
