We've Aviation Professionals Prepare for their Interviews!
  • I applied for the NetJets First Officer position and received an email about one week later inviting me to schedule an interview. The scheduling system was flexible — it's possible to reschedule if needed. Interview Day: I showed up well-groomed, clean-shaven, wearing a suit and tie. That’s just how I believe you should present yourself when you're given the chance to sit in front of an organization like NetJets. I studied a lot of the material shared here on AviationInterviews, but the most important thing I can say is this: know yourself, and know whether your mindset and values truly align with theirs. Their core pillars are Safety and Service. They’re not just looking for pilots — they’re looking for the right kind of pilot. I come from the airline world, and I made it clear that I genuinely want to fly corporate....

I submitted my application in the second week of last month and heard back just a couple of days later to schedule the interview. The interview date was set about 2–3 weeks out. My Teams interview was with Erin. She was very easy to talk to and made the process feel relaxed and professional. The questions were similar to the study guide I had reviewed ahead of time. The interview started with “Why NetJets?” followed by “Why are you thinking about leaving your current...

The interview started with a glitch on my end. I tried to get the software to load 10 minutes prior to the meeting. I couldn't get Microsoft Teams to load the meeting correctly. For whatever reason Teams wanted a guest profile and not use my profile then dropped me. So I was about two minutes late, and Stephanie seemed to be understanding. I reviewed the study guide from here and wrote out my own answers and reviewed them talking out loud to myself. All the questions were EXACLTY the same...

Great experience overall! Started with a Teams interview with Erin; she was very friendly and conversational. Went over four TMAAT questions like the ones listed on the study guide. She then went into DOT questions (YES/NO). She'll ask about any pilot flying time where you were the sole manipulator of the controls versus logging. After that she opened up for any questions I had (good idea to come up with some questions you used from researching Netjets). Overall the interview took 15-20mins....

Did first 30 minute Teams interview with Tanner. Much as described in previous posts. Talked about how I got into flying, talked through my resume, what does safety mean to you, how have you saved your company money/made it more efficient, why Netjets specifically, TMAAT you made a difficult decision/showed adaptability in flight, TMAAT you showed integrity, TMAAT you showed accountability, give an example of your curiosity, DOT yes/no questions. Very fast moving interview, took just...

Applied online and next day was invited by email to setup a date for a online interview. Online interview was scheduled for one week after, which was with an HR employee. After passing the first stage, the second online interview was scheduled a few days later. Took about two days to hear back and was scheduled for the in person sim evaluation roughly two weeks later (due to me being unavailable earlier). Received CJO two weeks...

I only did the phone interview. My recruiter said it could be up to 2 weeks before I hear if I'm moving forward to the 2nd round interview. It has since changed, and the 2nd round is no longer the assessment day. You have another virtual interview with a hiring manager that is similar to the first round, where they gauge your personality and if you are a fit for their vision and culture. A lot of TAAT questions DOT questions. Everything is pretty spot on that you read on this website. There...

The interview started on time and not with the person I was scheduled with but rather someone else in the recruitment team. It lasted the full 40-45 minutes. Individual questions to walk through resume instead of "tell me more about yourself", "Why NetJets?", TMAAT: tough decision in the cockpit, morals were challenged; What does safety mean to you?, Efficiency for the operation/company, Curiosity to learn something new... were some of the questions. The TBNT decision...

The interview started on time, the interviewer went straight to the questions, (view the study guide of this website).  Then a series of DOT questions, The entire interview lasted 12 minutes, ending with the interviewer asking me, Do you have any questions for...

The interview was fast-paced and strictly followed a prepared list of HR and DOT questions. The interviewer spoke very quickly, so I had to ask for clarification multiple times. There was little-to-no follow-up or back-and-forth discussion it felt more like a checklist-style screening rather than a conversational interview. The whole session lasted about 25 minutes. HR Questions were asked, (view the study guide of this website).  Received TBNT email 3 days later. Advice: Know the...

  11. What I appreciate a great deal about this website was the consistency of its updated postings (to help get a real feel/temp of a hiring frenzy or slump), and the thoroughness of everyone’s posts. I felt entirely prepared and competent based on other users’ feedback. I did lots of my own preparation for this job, but this was probably by far the best tool in my arsenal for organizing and practicing.
