We've Aviation Professionals Prepare for their Interviews!
  • I applied for the NetJets First Officer position and received an email about one week later inviting me to schedule an interview. The scheduling system was flexible — it's possible to reschedule if needed. Interview Day: I showed up well-groomed, clean-shaven, wearing a suit and tie. That’s just how I believe you should present yourself when you're given the chance to sit in front of an organization like NetJets. I studied a lot of the material shared here on AviationInterviews, but the most important thing I can say is this: know yourself, and know whether your mindset and values truly align with theirs. Their core pillars are Safety and Service. They’re not just looking for pilots — they’re looking for the right kind of pilot. I come from the airline world, and I made it clear that I genuinely want to fly corporate....

I had my interview with Stephanie which lasted about 25 min. It started with "how did you get into Aviation". The next questions was "What does safety mean to you and tell about a time when you have identified a safety concern in flight and how you handled it." Then "Tell me about a time you increased efficiency." Finally with "Tell me about a time your curiosity led you to learn something." The rest of the interview was standard yes or no questions...

The interview was a Microsoft Teams video call that started with "how did you get into aviation?" then right into 3 TMAAT questions. They were: What does safety mean to you? "tell me about a time you handled a difficult situation in the cockpit?", "Tell me about a time when you saved the company money." Then, all the DOT questions, and if I had any questions. I could tell she was interviewing a lot of people because she had her routine, cadence, and questions...

Overall experience was good. The recruiter I had was Stephanie. She asked questions that were directly from the study guide on here. She said they are getting 1,000 resumes a month and if. I don't get through, to re apply. She said my interview was solid but my hours are not competitive at this time. seems like they are trending toward pilots with 3,000 hours right now. They are in contol with market right now. Anyway, good luck...

Did the second phone interview with Brian. A little more laid back and relaxed as Brian was easy to talk to and worded questions in a more open ended way than HR. The meat of is was 3 or 4 tmaat questions. When your ethics were challenged, a safety situation and how it was handled, how you changed an unsafe policy, what do you imagine customer service at NJ is like. Maybe one more I’m forgetting but nothing that wasn’t like the study...

I did the first video interview with the HR, no introductions, straightforward for the questions: TMAY, What safety means to you, why NJ, when I learned something with my curiosity, when I saw something unsafe about to happen and what I did? TBNT a week...

App submitted through referral link, with an available date 30 days out. This was my second time applying and if you put an availability date too far out they just send a TBNT email and don’t even bother. So I’m not under contract with anyone and available now, get emailed within 48 hours of submitting my application to schedule round 1. Scheduled the earliest available date and time which was 2.5 weeks out. Teams worked flawlessly, everything on here was on point, no technical...

Had my first interview with Stephanie. Started off with what got you into aviation. Looked over resume briefly. Talked about rough estimate of time pilot flying vs pilot monitoring. Why NetJets. What’s safety mean to you. what’s customer service mean to you with example. What’s a time you had disagreement with co pilot and how’d you resolve. Tmat you had to adapt to changes in flight. After those all yes or no questions and then opened up to any questions you...

Applied for the First Officer position the middle of Summer and heard back 3 days later that they are interested in an interview. The questions listed from previous interviews really helped. My interview was with Stephanie and she started off with why Netjets, 3 TMAAT questions and then asked about how many hours I had PM vs PF. She opened herself up to questions and then the interview then concluded after 30 mins. Waited 4 weeks to hear back with the TBNT email. I thought the interview went...

1st Interview: Basic HR interview with a pilot hiring personnel. As mentioned before a lot TMAT questions and get to know you questions. 2nd Interview: Another basic/chill interview with the a fleet director. I had a recommendation letter from a NJ guy that the fleet director knew personally. So the interview was super laid back. We chatted and mostly talked about what we like to do in our free time. 3rd Interview: So this isnt really an interview but more of a get to know you in person. In...

My first teams interview was with Tanner and full of very fast paced HR type interview questions (TMAAT). Joining the call on time, being presentable, and having somewhat reasonable answers to his questions seems to be all is really required here to move onto the next interview. Tanner let me know at the end of the call that they wanted to move forward with a 2nd teams interview and that he would follow up to schedule via email. Next teams interview was scheduled for the following week (45...

  11. What I appreciate a great deal about this website was the consistency of its updated postings (to help get a real feel/temp of a hiring frenzy or slump), and the thoroughness of everyone’s posts. I felt entirely prepared and competent based on other users’ feedback. I did lots of my own preparation for this job, but this was probably by far the best tool in my arsenal for organizing and practicing.
