  • I received an email within a few days of applying and set up an initial phone interview for later that week. The phone interview was very relaxed and conversational. Questions were designed to get to know you and understand why you want to work at FSI. They definitely seemed like they are looking for long-term employees, not touch-and-go's looking for a type rating so they can get on with the airlines. The initial interview went well and I was scheduled for an in-person interview at the local training center for...

The interviewers could not have been nicer.  I interviewed on a Friday morning and received a verbal within the hour. Formal offer came in the email about 4 days after. My background is a former 121 FO, no previous 121 training failures. Making a career pivot due to medical reasons. The recruitment team reached out within the first 2 days of me submitting my...

Flight Safety International.  Sent in my on-line application on a Friday. By following Monday, I had an email inviting me to set up an initial telephone interview. After a few attempts, finally lined up the phone call with the Corporate Recruiter. Phone call was very relaxed and straight forward. She asked me some basic background questions, then asked me “Why Flight Safety?” She told me that there were two slots they were hiring for, Pilot Instructor for the G550 or...

Was met at the door to the facility by one of the program managers. Was walked to a quiet room to conduct the interview. Interviewed with the director of training and program manager. Each took turns asking me questions. Not very technical from a flying perspective. Questions were more based around teaching and working with people with a few tell-me-a-time questions mixed in.  (view the study guide of this...

Each person I ran into at the training center was professional, courteous and genuinely friendly. The interview lasted about one hour and about another hour getting a tour. I was very impressed with the facility and the program managers. All the questions were as expected focusing on your past training experiences...difficult students, how did you resolve those type situations etc. Not focused on FAR's or technical information at...

interview was mostly HR. this was for SIC position. They asked my goals on aviation and how i could see myself growing with the company.  They prefer you to have CRM experience and a decent amount of multi time even though they have a low TT requirement. It was more of a conversation than a question and answer interview. Three people were in the room but sometimes it can be as much as up to 5...

The experience was quite pleasant. There was a panel of three and it started with an introduction about the company and what they are looking for. Then it went in to the questioning; overall, for them to invest money into your training, they need to know that you have a desire to teach and are willing to stay. I would say if you do not want to teach, this may not be the best position. It appears to be long hours at times but they are trying to improve on the quality of life for instructors....

  11. Aviation interviews provided me some insight that to what I was going to expect in the interview. I was able to prepare accordingly. I appreciate Aviation Interviews for the guidance and help.
