FREE ABX Air pilot interview information and gouge

Interview started promptly at 08:00 as I was met at the front desk and taken into an office area where I handed over my logbooks and identification, licenses, medical, etc., After about a seven minute wait they led me to meeting room with two other people present. They were the chief pilot and two experienced HR specialists. After exchanging names the process began with tell me about your flying career and how it matches up to your resume. That was an opportunity to explain a summary of each former pilot position held and the positive experiences I gained from each. This took about twelve to fifteen minutes after which the three professionals took turns asking... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

  1. Apr 22, 2020 This was a unique situation because it was online , I had gotten the gouge from recent hires and had even practiced the sim profile. I had found the profile very challenging and did not land the DC-8 sim, but preformed a satisfactory go-around and "would have passed" if it had been an actual test. The info here was exactly on for ABX. friendly and welcoming. 3 interviewers, 2 HR and the chief pilot. All accommodating and just wanting to get to know me. We started with them... 2. Apr 15, 2020 The previous interviews were very accurate. However due to the coronavirus we did a online interview with the recruiter, HR and Chief Pilot. It started with me telling my aviation life story and what aircraft I flew at each company. Then HR explained the pay and benefits and the structure of the company. Next the Chief Pilot asked questions, (view the study guide of this website). " Finally I was given 30 seconds to "shine" and to say or add anything about myself. I was honest... 3. Apr 08, 2020 Put my application in in mid-late March and heard back in 3 days. Had a phone interview which consisted of telling about yourself, why ABX and explaining how they worked. I was then invited to face-to-face interview that turned into a online interview. That interview went along the lines of what is on here. 2 people from HR and the Chief Pilot conduct the interview and ask you questions after you giving a summary of yourself. They make process relaxing, but professional. Be yourself and... Continue reading this interview experience

  5. Feb 18, 2020 The hiring team (2 HR reps and chief pilot) was very friendly and inviting. The HR panel was the 3 just mentioned and was a mix of questions (some TMAAT others just questions) with a mix of information about the company. About 45 minutes to complete and then a 10 question test followed by basic SIM eval to really observe your flying abilities. Overall a great interview experience. Good... 7. Aug 19, 2019 My experience was very similar to those before me, in the last year anyway. I flew in the day before the interview and the HR person did a great job changing the limo pickup at CVG when I told her I took an earlier flight than what I planned. This was on a Sunday afternoon, so I was grateful to not be left hanging. I traveled standby and the later one was looking full. I was told the limo would take me to the hotel, but not which hotel, so try to get a specific answer on that. It was... Continue reading this interview experience

  8. As described in gouge. They have a 10 question written, pretty easy. Can’t talk about it, but don’t sweat it. Did the DC-9sim.  (view the sim/scenario of this... Continue reading this interview experience

  10. Overall a very good experience. Was contacted by HR after submitting an online resume. Very friendly group of people. Bought a ticket to come out for an interview and hotel and transport provided, driver will meet you at the airport. ILN is about 75 mins from CVG. You will need a passport or drivers license to leave at the door. Then Sim  (viw the sim/scenario section of this website).  After the sim did a written test from the chief pilot, then HR interview. Gouge here is a... Continue reading this interview experience

  11. Feedback from: William R

I liked the practice questions from actual interviews, also the option to study for more than one company. It definitely helps with the actual interview!
