The other interview experience were spot on. The day started with our interview host (Rich) telling us how the day would go and answered any questions we had. As a note, I felt there was definitely a good cop bad cop thing going on between the pilot panel interview (bad cop) and the management panel interview (good cop). Not criticizing or hating but thats what I observed. Day was as follows... 1 Pilot Panel 2 Management Panel 3 Written Test 4 Sim Eval in Q400 FTD Pilot Panel I was asked many... Apr 12, 2024 Interview was just as described in the other posts. Why Hawaiian is the most important question. But there is a question about the cargo aircraft and if you want to fly cargo vs 717. The CRM portion was not very threatening. I would not worry about the answer as much as discussing what you are thinking and using good CRM... Continue reading this interview experience

Apr 05, 2024 The interview was very relaxing and fun. I was part of the 0800 group with 2 other guys, and everything went as stated here before. It's a 3-part interview: HR panel, pilot panel, and CRM panel. The HR panel just wants to get to know you and make sure you fully qualify for the position. TAAT, WHY HAWAIIAN (honestly, this is the most important question), any violations, etc. The pilot panel was pretty much the same, but with more decision-making questions. What is CRM to you, and how do you... Continue reading this interview experience

Apr 04, 2024 Met by management guy in lobby with other candidates in the group. Gave us a breakdown of the coming hours - I was the 11am slot so we started with a group lunch with just the other candidates (including the morning ones). Pretty chill and got to discuss some of the interview aspects. Once finished, we met back in the room and they outlined the three panels - management, pilot, and CRM exercise. Randomly selected with another candidate for CRM, which was a fuel question while being held... Continue reading this interview experience

Mar 28, 2024 The gouge was spot on. 3 different panels to talk to. You will be with 3 others interviewees in the waiting room. Everyone made you feel really comfortable. Each panel asked why Hawaiian Airlines. Most of the TAAT questions had to do with conflict with coworker or taking control of a situation for safety. I would say each panel was only 30 minutes long. Overall just try to relax, answer honestly, and think about each question before... Continue reading this interview experience

Mar 22, 2024 This was my second time interviewing here. It was a very relaxed experience. I was in the 11am group. It started with us meeting the 8am group for lunch. Then the four of us went into the conference room to wait. My first panel was the management interview. The system chief and asst system chief were there. The assistant chief reviewed my logs and certificates. The system chief remembered me from the previous interview a year earlier. They asked me a few basic questions and we talked a bit... Mar 22, 2024 The interview was broken in up into 4 parts for the 2 groups of candidates, morning and afternoon, I chose afternoon, and we all meet up in the cafeteria. 1. intro/lunch 2. pilot panel - ca/fo - asked about some scenarios and a bit about my history, car on runway and CA non responsive - how do I handle 3. chief pilot assistant /chief pilot asked about my history and some TMAAT questions 4. CRM- continue flignt to lax or turn back to HNL- CRM lead - favored continuing to west coast we found... Continue reading this interview experience

Mar 15, 2024 I was in the afternoon group that started at 1100. I was worried about traffic in Oahu so I scheduled the Lyft to pick up from the hotel at 0930...ended up arriving 1 hour early. All good though, just checked in and chilled in the lobby. Had lunch and then was escorted to a staging room where you leave your stuff and give pertinent documents to management. 3 panel interview. I had CRM exercise with one other applicant. Gen fault 20 minutes from ETP. Then APU fault past ETP and WX... Continue reading this interview experience

Feb 22, 2024 There were 4 of us for the afternoon panels. Escorted by Rich who is covering for Analu, he was very friendly. The relaxed culture begins as soon as you walk into the lobby. Other pilots and trainees were happy to meet all of us. Not one person in suits except for me and the 3 other guys. Started with lunch at 11. Mgmt panel was first. They asked why Hawaiian, what’s my background, TMAAT you showed malama (care), asked about a former company on resume. Next up was pilot panel. 3 senior... Continue reading this interview experience

Feb 22, 2024 As said before, gouge is pretty much spot on. All questions I was asked were posted here. Very relaxed environment and they just want to get to know you and talk story. Spent more time chatting and getting to know guys than actually answering questions. Make sure to have some good questions ready to go after each panel. 1. Started with CRM. Didn’t have a sim partner so they just used a current HAL pilot to be my FO. Got the fuel scenario. 1.2 hrs of fuel left 40 miles west of HNL.... Continue reading this interview experience

Feb 08, 2024 Started with CRM and was given CPT OXYGN in amber 20 mins to ETP. No correct answers just walked through with my partner what we would do. At the end the instructor gave us some feedback but was overall pretty vague. Met with 3 line pilots who asked about 5 questions total and then took time answering my questions. Then met with management who asked me about 5 more questions and again took the time to answer my questions. Then we had lunch with all candidates from the day. Overall...
