Interview is very straight forward and everybody is very friendly. For the most part they want to make sure that you are coming to Hawaiian because you genuinely want to be here. There are three parts including a management panel, pilot panel, and a CRM exercise. The management panel will ask you about your previous experience as well why you want to be at Hawaiian. Lots general HR...

Very relaxed and casual conversations. Same experience as all recent trip reports. - tell me about yourself - why Hawaiian and not another major - tell me about the best pilot and the worst pilot I have flown with - how have I used CRM to resolve and issue with a crew member in flight - tell me about your volunteer experience - if I could fly any aircraft for one day, what would it... -

Give yourself plenty of time and arrive early because the location of the front door can be hard to find! Especially if there's no more parking available. They will send you directions with photos so have those ready. Two groups per day, 4 in each group. I was in the 11 AM. Candidates were by far the nicest dressed in suits and ties, interview panel all wore Hawaiian shirts. Escorted to a "holding area" where we could leave our bags and met the early group, then all went to the cafeteria for... -

Real laid back experience. 3 part process, panel, manager and CRM. Simple questions about flight experience, such as “tell me about a time you used CRM to overcome a situation” or “tell me about a decision you’ve regretted in the flight deck” “who was the best and worst crew member you had to work with and why”. The manager interview wanted to know more of “why you want to work for Hawaiian airlines?” “What does Hawaiian airlines... -

I had the morning session and the interview started with a CRM portion with an emergency aircraft going into HNL so ATC tells you to hold. Keeping in mind your fuel numbers, alternate airports, time route, 2in 2out, then you decide if you want to continue holding or divert to another airport. They just want to see how you work through the problem, no so much your final decision. Then you go into a pilot panel interview. They ask the typical TMAAT questions. Then there’s a management... -

Interview was just as described in the other posts. Why Hawaiian is the most important question. But there is a question about the cargo aircraft and if you want to fly cargo vs 717. The CRM portion was not very threatening. I would not worry about the answer as much as discussing what you are thinking and using good CRM...

The interview was very relaxing and fun. I was part of the 0800 group with 2 other guys, and everything went as stated here before. It's a 3-part interview: HR panel, pilot panel, and CRM panel. The HR panel just wants to get to know you and make sure you fully qualify for the position. TAAT, WHY HAWAIIAN (honestly, this is the most important question), any violations, etc. The pilot panel was pretty much the same, but with more decision-making questions. What is CRM to you, and how do you...

No surprises, started with CRM panel, two interviewees and one Hawaiian pilot. Holding near HNL, alternate OGG. Evaluator also acts as ATC, dispatch, and cabin crew. Queried ATC if other HNL runway was available, negative, inbound mechanical emergency. Decided to divert to OGG, communicated with dispatch, cabin crew+pax. Pilot panel, three line pilots. Asked what would I do if on short final and runway was occupied by a vehicle. Call for go around, call for go around second time and observe...

Met by management guy in lobby with other candidates in the group. Gave us a breakdown of the coming hours - I was the 11am slot so we started with a group lunch with just the other candidates (including the morning ones). Pretty chill and got to discuss some of the interview aspects. Once finished, we met back in the room and they outlined the three panels - management, pilot, and CRM exercise. Randomly selected with another candidate for CRM, which was a fuel question while being held...

The gouge was spot on. 3 different panels to talk to. You will be with 3 others interviewees in the waiting room. Everyone made you feel really comfortable. Each panel asked why Hawaiian Airlines. Most of the TAAT questions had to do with conflict with coworker or taking control of a situation for safety. I would say each panel was only 30 minutes long. Overall just try to relax, answer honestly, and think about each question before...

This was my second time interviewing here. It was a very relaxed experience. I was in the 11am group. It started with us meeting the 8am group for lunch. Then the four of us went into the conference room to wait. My first panel was the management interview. The system chief and asst system chief were there. The assistant chief reviewed my logs and certificates. The system chief remembered me from the previous interview a year earlier. They asked me a few basic questions and we talked a bit...
