  • Applied after talking to PSA at a conference online. Within a few days got an email to schedule the HR portion of the interview, which was over the phone and just a logbook/hour review and got asked "Why PSA?", but no other HR questions. Scheduled the technical then and was sent a study guide that mainly had some tips/tricks and a few old Jepp plates, but nothing that was directly used on my interview. My interview was with a current PSA FO and started with a logbook review and just confirmed my hours followed by a few HR questions -- Why PSA (again) and what qualities I think about in a good leader and follower. Then started the technical portion. He shared his screen with me and began with me decoding a Metar (pretty tough one with some unusual and rarer things on it) and asked if I need a takeoff alternate, followed by showing me a TAF...

Interview was as previously stated. Rapid fire questions on general FARs, aerodynamics, thunderstorms, read METAR, TAF, 1123 rule and is an alternate needed? Was not asked about takeoff alternate, but be ready to explain about it if asked. Jepp Plate review (know symbology, how to comply with descent via vs cleared for). Really basic level knowledge of these items. Overall it was a very friendly 1 on 1 with another...

Very straightforward and my interviewer did an outstanding job of making me comfortable. Be prepared for METAR/TAF questions, have strong instrument knowledge and be prepared to read everything on a JEPP...

Heard back in 2 business days, very Similar to other interviewed posted. Started with light HR, tell me about yourself. Then went into Weather followed by rapid fire Jepp chart questions from slides, Departures, Arrivals, Approach, AP diagram. Finishing with Regulation question and then asking if I had any other questions. Overall a pretty quick...

My interview was a bit surprising. I had a lot of very general questions, random things, (view the study guide of this website).  Not a big deal if you're a CFI, but it was surprising amount of random questions before the IFR flight scenario. They were also training an interviewer during mine, not sure if that had anything to do with that. I got the IFR flight scenario from DTW to CLT. that part was as described. rapid fire jep questions. Decode metar / taf. They were very friendly and...

The interviewer was running 10 minutes late so I think it was implied we would keep things short and sweet. Gave me his background and then asked my background. He was a CA on some sort of leave and assigned to the hiring department. We went into METAR and TAF reading. They were both related to IFR conditions and if we could conduct an approach (METAR) or needed an alternate (TAF). I didn't know one of the items on the METAR but we moved on. Next was Jepp approach and SIDs. Asked very basic...

Interview started off with general introductions. Talked about my experience prior getting into aviation. Interviewer is a Captain. Started by going over flight times and verifying my information is correct and that I actually meet the requirements then started with technical portion of the interview. Was asked some Part 91 questions. (view the study guide of this website).  Then was given a METAR to read and ask what should I be considering with the info provided. Then we walked...

Interview was basically what this website says. Iâ??m so happy I studied as much as I did. They basically have a bunch of different interview templates, and they randomly pick which set of questions youâ??ll get. Everything is game- so make sure you have a good understanding. I got one question wrong initially and then I quickly realized I made a mistake- it was no big deal. My interviewer was super nice and welcoming. They offered me the CJO on the spot. Show up, look nice and know your...

The interview was really straight forward. He told me that they have multiple interview templates and it randomly chooses which one you get- so study everything on this site. METAR/TAF, situational questions, and everything Jepp chart related. The interview was about 20 min in total and he offered me the CJO on the spot. Show up professional and prepared and youâ??ll do...

Had a wonderful experience interviewing for PSA. Handful of HR questions asking about myself and certain scenarios just about keeping ourselves and our passengers safe. Go over SIDs/STARs/Appraoch plates. Look over METARs/TAFs. Know when you need alternate takeoffs and...

  11. It gave me a great idea of what areas to study up on before the interview.
