  • Applied after talking to PSA at a conference online. Within a few days got an email to schedule the HR portion of the interview, which was over the phone and just a logbook/hour review and got asked "Why PSA?", but no other HR questions. Scheduled the technical then and was sent a study guide that mainly had some tips/tricks and a few old Jepp plates, but nothing that was directly used on my interview. My interview was with a current PSA FO and started with a logbook review and just confirmed my hours followed by a few HR questions -- Why PSA (again) and what qualities I think about in a good leader and follower. Then started the technical portion. He shared his screen with me and began with me decoding a Metar (pretty tough one with some unusual and rarer things on it) and asked if I need a takeoff alternate, followed by showing me a TAF...

Interview was as previously described on AviationInterviews. Metar/Taf, alternates, know all Jepp plates including 10-9, Taxi diagrams, departures, en route , and arrival plates, only plate I briefed was an approach plate the rest were just used for question just like a check-ride. Questions included information pertaining to speed restrictions, altitude restrictions, holds, descend via clearances, and aircraft systems (your aircraft). Prepare for 30 mins of rapid fire situation based...

Very straightforward. One interviewer. They told me about themself then asked about me. I did the â??tell me about yourselfâ? response and then we went into technical. Flight plan from KAVL to KCLT. Started out by reading a metar and a TAF and determining if we could take off and if we needed an alternate. Then went into rapid fire questions about the plates. (Speed restrictions, hold entries, RVSM, MSA, LOC freq). Starting with the airport diagram, then a departure, then an arrival,...

This is a simple explanation of the Phone/HR interview portion prior to the technical, as I did not see this ahead of time on this website. The phone interview was a verification of all applicable flight hours, Passport, Medical, Last day flown and FCC. The phone call was 10 minutes exactly. There was no additional information offered up or given. Current virtual technical interviews are on Tuesday's and Wednesday's and was briefed that it should take ~1 hour. I asked a couple follow up...

I was offered an interview after completing a phone screening. The screening focused on reviewing documents and logbooks, so be sure to have those ready. The interview itself was very brief and primarily technical. It consisted of rapid-fire questionsâ??if you miss one, be prepared to spend some time discussing it in more detail. I was interviewed by a single pilot, and the only HR-style question was â??Tell me about yourself.â? Most of the session was scenario-based, similar to...

Did the interview with two first officers both super friendly. Started off with basic hr stuff such as why psa. Then we right into technical all basic stuff from the site, read a Metar and a taf nothing to crazy make sure you know vv and the v. then alternates a fuel requirements. Engine on my plane and whatâ??s a stall, then when heavy into jepp plates. When it ended he told me I got a 100 and then we jus kind of filled the time getting to know each...

The Interview was pretty straightforward. AviationInterviews was instrumental in my interview prep. I wasnâ??t asked anything that isnâ??t on here already. HR questions like why PSA and checkride failures. We then proceeded with weather (metar+TAF) and then alternate requirements. Next was a taxi diagram, 10-9/A, SID, STAR, and approach using Jep plates. The questions asked on the charts were all very simple and were just looking to see if you could...

Two captains interviewed me. All of the questions asked were on this website. Great experience, everybody was nice and friendly, and it lasted approximately an hour. The simulated flight was from Detroit to Charlotte. I only missed one question for RVR 1800, which is rounded up to a half statue...

As stated before, they will reach out to schedule a phone screening with an HR rep. I received zero actual HR questions (not even a TMAY or why PSA like I was expecting), they just went through logbook totals, experience and checkride failures. At the end of the phone call they will schedule you with a pilot recruiter to complete the technical portion, all virtual using teams. I recommend you schedule it asap, no further out than a week. The technical was very straightforward, before getting...

In the interview, youâ??ll be asked about Jepp Charts, SID, STARS. In depth METARS and TAFS. Youâ??ll be asked to brief a system in the aircraft you currently fly. The interview will be done via PowerPoint and you can ask to zoom into the examiners screen so that youâ??re able to see things. I recommend just being yourself and no being a robot. Refresh yourself on Commerical and Instrument as well as introduce yourself to OpSecs and the 10-9...
