Technical interview was first, over MSTeams. They send a few Jepp charts to study, although these weren't the ones used. They basically give a scenario where you are doing a flight from one place to another under IFR. So they have you copy down a CRAFT clearance (which was a full route) and see how you do with that. They ask you a few regulation questions (definitely know whether you can takeoff and land under part 91 or 135). Ask about hotspots, ask me to brief a SID, how I would fly it. Along the way they ask you some random chart symbology like the MSA, highest obstacle, frequencies, etc. Just know everything about Jepp charts. What would you do if you lost communication in this scenario, can you attempt this approach under 91, what about 135, etc. Good...

Got a call for the technical and scheduled it about 2 weeks out. Technical was about 25 minutes of questions being asked and 5-10 minutes for my questions. Given basic CRAFT clearance and asked to read it back (nothing crazy), asked to brief a SID, part 91 and 135 operations (if you can depart depending on destination weather and if you look and see if the visibility drops below visibility prescribed on the approach), converting takeoff minimums FPNM to FPM, can you get clearance on... -

Tech interview was about 25 minutes, first few minutes was getting to know each other and then went right into talking about the approach plates. What frequency do you use if leaving from a towered airport if the airport is closed, what does descend via mean vs just descend, flyby vs flyover waypoints ect. HR interview was about 30 minutes asking about pay customer experience jobs and past jobs as a pilot. Sim interview was a SID with vectors to an ILS and missed... -

Interview was straightforward and a great experience. First step is the technical portion and consisted of IFR and VFR knowledge. I was sent multiple Jeppesen plates prior to the interview to study (Know all the symbols since you could be asked about any of them randomly). We went over a VOR approach and a SID. Questions are straightforward but know how to brief these types of plates too and be sure to carefully read the notes section. The VFR questions were straightforward as well. Was... -

Interview was exactly as others described. Given a cross-country scenario for the day. Taxi diagram, brief a SID, brief an Approach. Is PT required? Identify FAF, MAP, VDP, 91.175, Approach lighting, Circling radius, how to go missed when already circling, etc. Know everything about Jepp charts and how to brief them. Then a bunch of VFR questions. Identify airspace on sectional, cloud clearances, speed limits, equipment and entry requirements. Identify VFR Waypoints and other sectional... -

Technical interview via teams. Started exactly on time. A SID was screen shared and I was asked to copy and read back an IFR clearance, asked about some IFR enroute mileage that was depicted on the SID, brief an approach (include a runway exit plan and missed approach), discussed what I’d need at DH or the MAP in order to land. Asked what a “hotspot” on the taxi diagram meant. Know what you need to descent below DH/DA with only sequenced flashers then the visual cues to... -

The interview was conducted via Teams @ 0900. The interviewer was very professional but personable I wore a suit. The whole thing took about 30-40 minutes. It went fast and was rapid fire. It opened with breaking the ice about explaining who I am and what has lead me here, then right into the technical. She opened with giving me a rather complicated CRAFT (see below for details) be ready to copy those instructions. I did have to ask for the higher altitude, (I felt embarrassed about that).... -

Arrival chart into JFK, how would I fly it? Hard altitudes? MOCA, OROCA, MSA -several ILS approach plates. What are the circling minimums for cat B? -VFR sectional. Class bravo airspace, class echo from the ground, MOA, RA, TRSA -if you study the 12 approach, arrival, departure Jepp plates they give you, know every little detail on each plate, you should be fine! C -was asked several questions on VFR... -

Sim was straightforward. They let you fly the sim for a bit to get used to it. You fly the Morristown 7 departure off Rwy 23 and get vectored in for the ILS23 into Morristown. Then you fly the published missed, but they pause the sim and have you talk through how you'd finish flying the rest of the missed. HR portion was straightforward as well. The questions were the same as those on the study guide. There were really no gotchas at... -

HR and Sim eval in Orlando. Started early around 7:30am with HR first. Review the study guide and be professional. Heavy emphasis on customer service and why Planesense. Also was given a scenario. After that sim eval with one of the chief pilots. No surprises here just have a good scan and be proficient in IFR procedures. Told we should hear back within a weeks time. Overall great experience, study hard and look...
