Technical interview was first, over MSTeams. They send a few Jepp charts to study, although these weren't the ones used. They basically give a scenario where you are doing a flight from one place to another under IFR. So they have you copy down a CRAFT clearance (which was a full route) and see how you do with that. They ask you a few regulation questions (definitely know whether you can takeoff and land under part 91 or 135). Ask about hotspots, ask me to brief a SID, how I would fly it. Along the way they ask you some random chart symbology like the MSA, highest obstacle, frequencies, etc. Just know everything about Jepp charts. What would you do if you lost communication in this scenario, can you attempt this approach under 91, what about 135, etc. Good...

I got an interview a week after attending the WAI conference. The first interview was the technical interview over zoom with a chief pilot. The chief pilot was incredibly nice and professional. The interview was only 20 minutes and covered instrument questions based on the Jeppesen plates provided in an email sent before the interview. I got a TBNT the next day... -

I recently completed a technical interview with PlaneSense that focused specifically on IFR procedures using Jeppesen charts. The discussion went in depth on chart interpretation, approach briefings, and understanding various procedures in different scenarios. The interviewers emphasized practical application, asking questions that required clear thinking and familiarity with real-world IFR operations. It was a very focused and structured experience centered around instrument flying... -

Identical to those already posted. They treat you really well, want you to succeed. Was a group of about 26 of us. Dinner one night, interview next morning. Simulator was fine, not my best flight, was laggy for a solid 3-7 seconds at one point. Followed that up with a quick HR chat. Walked my resume, asked why I wanted to work there, and pointed out that my work history is 1-2 year roles. I explained departing each, and rationale, etc. Overall went super smoothly. Was surprised and bummed... -

Tech interview is the gateway to the job. Just as others have written - be ready to brief a SID & Approach. You will answer chart symbology questions and 91 vs 135 go/no-go questions and alternate requirements. Know how to convert from ft/mile to ft/min for a climb. HR & SIM are just as other wrote as well. Tell about a scary time in the plane. Why Planesense? Awesome people and very easy-going atmosphere. Dress nice. Smile and be friendly; chat with other interviewees. Don't be the... -

HR and SIM were held in Orlando. They fly you in and put you in a really nice hotel. Same evening there is a social event/dinner/company presentation. Very friendly and relaxed environment. You are picked up by Company rep next morning and driven to a flight school where HR and Sim were held. All questions on gouge are spot on and all you need. Be presentable and honest and you will succeed. 25 were interviewed and I believe 16 got selected. Business casual for social event and full... -

The other gouges published on here are exactly what I experienced. Everyone is extremely friendly, and I felt like it was my job to lose in the interview. Just be familiar with IFR procedures, and be yourself! A couple errors here and there are not a deal breaker. Overall, it seems as if they're looking to see if you would fit well into their company... -

Technical interview was essentially exactly what everyone else said. Was built around a scenario, KMMU to KUUU. Talked a little about the airport diagram, copy a complex CRAFT clearance. She purposefully gave me an incorrect departure frequency which I caught when i briefed the Morristown 7 departure. Talked through a simple RNAV approach into KUUU, asked my what type of hold I would do when cleared direct to the IAF. During the briefing of the departure procedure she asked me how I would... -

Interview was just as others have described here. Day one was a social event and company presentation, get to know everyone, be friendly as they are watching. Day two was the HR and sim interview. Some did HR first, some started with the sim. Sim portion consisted of a sid with vectors for an ILS and missed. (MMU 7, ILS 23, missed approach) HR portion felt like a relaxed conversation: Why PlaneSense, Why Aviation, Scariest moment in an aircraft, and a scenario event. Overall very straight... -

Starts with a dinner meet n greet at the hotel. Very laid back atmosphere. This is a mom and pop style operation. That said, and what I can appreciate. It is very well conducted and well executed. It's a younger crowd from most of the applicants, and to be expected, it's PC-12's. The chief pilots and staff are very professional, and I felt like the old guy in the room, but most of the guys and girl there have been with the company for a decade or more. Unheard of in this industry, and a... -

Technical interview over the phone was similar to the questions here. CRAFT clearance initiates a discussion about a whole flight to include briefings on: taxi plan, SID, STAR and Approach. If yo can know every symbol on those charts and have a confident brief you will do well. they fly you in the day before for a low pressure social where they brief company info and give you a chance to ask questions. They have a training contract now, I'm not sure if its new but I didn't see info on it...
