  • I was in the morning group. Due to the construction near the hotel it was suggested to plan for 20 minutes ride to HQ/Training Center. I left along with 2 other candidates on the 6:30am shuttle. Arrive around 7 am. Checked in with the security window and received the name tag. We all gathered in the holding area made introductions as others arrived and had coffee and snacks. As others have noted they gathered logbooks on arrival. MAKE SURE you have your ATP, Medical, Radio Telephone Operators Permit with you. There were a couple of guys that had to come out of the interview to go across the hall to the closet where our bags were stowed to retrieve these items. Several...

Early AM group. Arrived at 0730 from hotel, used their shuttle service to the HQ. Check in and out luggage in storage room. Introduction and presentation by current Capt. 3 part interview that can happen in any order. They call you back from the waiting area into the interview rooms. Everyone is extremely friendly. They put you at ease immediately. SBQ first with popped and turned handle on R1 service door. Was CA PF Phoenix-Dallas FL370. Good alternates along the way. Was 1 on 1 with...

Overall, the experience is exactly how others described it. AM group and started with logbook review. It was super laid back and just read off times from the logbook review form that you come in with. They only asked me to tell them about myself, not the HR answer. They also asked if I had ever had an emergency and what I learned from it. Last was HR, and you get the typical tell me about yourself and why SWA. A new question I got was, "Tell me about a time you got feedback after a flight...

As described by everybody else here. They really do a great job at making you feel welcome and trying to relax the nerves out of you. I was part of the AM group and took the shuttle from the hotel with about 10 others. Once we arrived and checked in with security, you mingle for 45 minutes before a presentation on SWA. After it's over, back to the people lobby and they call you back for each of the three sessions. SBQ was first for me, (view the study guide of this website, including the...

Pretty laid back interview process. Very conversational. Split into three segments in different rooms with different interviewer teams: Scenario based, Logbook Review, and HR. Scenario is one on one with you across the table from a captain with the iPad and their app and digital QRH. Scenario starts fairly simple and likely escalates to an emergency. The conservation will be left open ended, probably to see how much you second guess yourself. Donâ??t let that get in your head. The HR...

Just a great experience. HR portion was first; very relaxed and open conversation. I think I answered a couple questions with my intro and stories. Felt like i was only asked 2-3 TMAAT questions; difficult CA, made a mistake, what is the best quality of a CA (then reworded as top 3). Very conversational. They did their best to make me feel relaxed. Logbook portion very straightforward with small talk SBQ; I found it hard to focus and do my actual tasks/voicing that in pretend land ie,...

I was in the afternoon interview group. Showed up at 1030 per SWA advice. Tour started at 1100 and lasted for an hour. Then a 45 min briefing about the company, pay and benefits. Interview process started about 1300. 20 prospects in our group. SWA said right now they are interviewing 20 prospects in the AM, 20 in the PM, four days a week every other week. Logbook review - one pilot and very straightforward. Had me read numbers off of the SWA summary sheet. Make sure all hours (12-24 months,...

HR Portion: -Felt like a good cop bad cop situation in the HR panel. The pilot recruiter was extremely welcoming and nice, the pilot was considerably more serious and right off the bat started rapid fire questioning my work history. It was a fast-paced tempo and some questions I could not fully answer before he asked another question. Felt very planned out to keep me on my toes and see how I would recover. Might just be my experience but wanted to mention since I haven't quite seen this in...

Overall very welcoming experience. Definitely felt as if they want to know about you and how you will add to the company culture. Go in and be yourself. Same as reported here HR portion with one pilot and one HR. (TMAY, Why WN? Then a couple questions that came from my answers). SBQ (15 session with a brief, CA acts as FO, Dispatch, MX) Logbook Review (very straightforward, just make sure youâ??ve got everything tight and clean and...

On the afternoon group it seemed rushed. It was just as others said. Some even said we have 10 minutes. Read the instructions fully online and do everything correctly. They wont go super in depth on your log book but it should be air tight for any questions. Be ready to answer any. Also each interviewer even the logbook they will ask a little bit about you and why SW. they each have their favorite question. Also be ready to ask them a question even though you probably dont have any. SBQ is...
