  • I was in the morning group. Due to the construction near the hotel it was suggested to plan for 20 minutes ride to HQ/Training Center. I left along with 2 other candidates on the 6:30am shuttle. Arrive around 7 am. Checked in with the security window and received the name tag. We all gathered in the holding area made introductions as others arrived and had coffee and snacks. As others have noted they gathered logbooks on arrival. MAKE SURE you have your ATP, Medical, Radio Telephone Operators Permit with you. There were a couple of guys that had to come out of the interview to go across the hall to the closet where our bags were stowed to retrieve these items. Several...

The whole experience was a great one. Flew me in on SWA the day before on flight of your choice. Stayed at the hotel that was suggested in the Interview Resource Page. Expensive but convenient. Call hotel for pick up from DAL. Shuttle drivers have the route to SWA Corporate Campus down and know exactly where to take you. I was in the am group. Got to the lobby at 7:00 with other candidates arriving and we all chatted until 8 when we went to waiting lobby with coffee, water and snacks..nice....

Arrived at 10 AM as part of Group B. Loitered in the lobby and spoke with other candidates until they were ready to begin the tour at 11 AM. Experience very similar to previous reports in terms of the tour of LEADS building; it was extremely impressive. After returning to the HDQ building, there was an intermission followed by a briefing of SWA by a captain. After going through his slides, the captain opened up the floor for questions about the company, interview, or anything in between. The...

Was part of the first group with a start time of 8 am. We started out with a presentation about Southwest, where they told us some of the history of the company and went over pay compared to industry standards and where the company is headed. From here went into the interview split into the 3 sections. Then SBQ scenario.  2nd part was the HR panel. The interviewers were very nice. Had a lady from HR and a 10 year FO doing the panel. Started out with TMAY. After that it was TMAAT...

Great experience applying with Southwest! There was a group of 20 of us, 17 guys and 3 gals. A few from Skywest, Republic, and the majority from 135 and part 91 operations. The tour was beautiful with awesome facilities, and everyone seemed genuinely happy to have us there. Logbook review was straightforward. They ask to see your certs, medical and FCC radio operators license. Then have you read down the Logbook Interview form that you bring. Panel interview was really nice, it's with a...

Overall fantastic experience. I was in the early group so we had the briefing first, which was a lot of great information and our group had a good amount of additional questions that were all answered. I then had the HR panel, which was very laid back and straightforward. Then the logbook review which there was a few clarifications I had to make on my end, but other than that the easiest part of the interview. I then had the scenario portion which was as I expected. A little faster pace than...

As everyone described, the process is exactly as it has been for years. Overall a great and professional experience. Relax and be yourself. In the SBQ just be a pilot. Be honest about â??why Southwestâ?, and try to refine your answer to not just be about culture. Have some genuine questions for your interviewers and the other people you may encounter (someone giving you a tour or presentation). Review the Pilot Interview Resources page thoroughly to make sure your logbook totals are in...

Hr panel was about 40 minutes, every question was as expected, and on the gouge. Logbook review took about 20 minutes, asked some questions about previous employers, and final was the SBQ. This took maybe 5-10 minutes, very straightforward, I know everyone says this but, just be yourself and if your personality matches well with the SWA culture then you're...

Everything was as everyone else described on here. 3 part interview. Starts with a tour. Logbook review - super relaxed. Asked basic logbook questions. Sbq - as others have said. Very accurate info. I got den to lax one engine stuck at 80% N1 at cruise. Panel - 1 pilot 1 hr rep. Hammered tmaat type questions. Asked me to tell them about my entire...

Waiting to hear back for the yes or no. Absolutely amazing experience. Still grinning ear to ear! Started my interview with the â??people department (HR).â? Was asked to give a 1-2 minute overview of who I am and my career (I talked fast, hit the highlights). Why Southwest. What would you bring to the culture and company here. TMAAT you had a conflict. TMAAT you had a difficult or scary flight. TMAAT you provided excellent customer service. Explain a gap between jobs. Overall it was very...
