I was in the morning group. Due to the construction near the hotel it was suggested to plan for 20 minutes ride to HQ/Training Center. I left along with 2 other candidates on the 6:30am shuttle. Arrive around 7 am. Checked in with the security window and received the name tag. We all gathered in the holding area made introductions as others arrived and had coffee and snacks. As others have noted they gathered logbooks on arrival. MAKE SURE you have your ATP, Medical, Radio Telephone Operators Permit with you. Just a great experience. HR portion was first; very relaxed and open conversation. I think I answered a couple questions with my intro and stories. Felt like i was only asked 2-3 TMAAT questions; difficult CA, made a mistake, what is the best quality of a CA (then reworded as top 3). Very conversational. I was in the afternoon interview group. Showed up at 1030 per SWA advice. Tour started at 1100 and lasted for an hour. Then a 45 min briefing about the company, pay and benefits. Interview process started about 1300. 20 prospects in our group. SWA said right now they are interviewing 20 prospects in the AM, 20 in the PM, four days a week every other week. Overall very welcoming experience. Definitely felt as if they want to know about you and how you will add to the company culture. Go in and be yourself. I was B group at 1100. There were 22 candidates in the group. First they will take your logbooks and logbook review form. After that we started with a tour of the training center which lasted about 45 minutes. Next, we went into a hour long briefing with a current captain who talked about company culture, bases, pay, benefits and answered any questions we had. Morning Group. SBQ Very simple and Straightforward. Cracked Windshield resulting in a Slow Depressurization and diversion. They use this to test your technical knowledge, Decision making, crew coordination. There were a lot of people in the morning group. Took a while to get called back for the last 2 interview portions. Was part of the PM group. Overall a great experience, everyone was incredibly friendly. 3 part interview as expected. Seems like they are truthfully just looking to gauge your personality and how well youâ??ll be able to work with others. Study the hr questions on here for that portion. My sbq was bad weather quickly moving in with no filed alternate, and a captain that didnâ??t was to listen to any go around callouts. Group B. Showed up at 10:30am, left the hotel around 10. Interview was as expected with no surprises. Collected the logbooks and the logbook information sheet and then went on a tour of the training facility which was really nice. Exactly as described by others. Took the 7am shuttle over from the hotel with about 8 others. Chatted until about 7:45-8 and then company briefing. 3 part interview followed as others have mentioned. HR portion first. Very quick questioning (TMAY, Why SWA, (view the study guide of this website). Logbook next- legal questions, dates of checkrides, date available to start, then just chatted and got to know each other. SBQ was last and was maybe 5 total minutes. Interview was sure straight forward and as mostly described*. HR was standard and welcoming Logbook was looking over my logbooks and then asked a few more questions... FR asked stock price, number of aircraft, number of departures, current CEO. Didn't sound like many others were asked this so IDK SBQ: wheel well fire indication at 400FL, had 10 minutes to do it.
