I had to do a skype interview because of how far away I live from CT. Then interview went relatively well, he started of with just basic HR questions and then we talked about several different approach plates. (view the study guide from this website).  Overall the interview was very easy... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

  1. Mar 14, 2024 I started off with the first interview over MS Teams—standard HR questions. The second interview was a mini IFR oral exam. Definitely study up on your IFR knowledge. Then Sim, (view the Sim/Scenario section in the study guide of this website).  Hopefully, I will hear next week if I get the... Continue reading this interview experience

  2. Mar 01, 2024 Interview process was very straight forward. Three part interview process. First was HR, basic questions and a presentation about the company and culture. This was a great opportunity to ask questions. Second was the technical. This was very much like an IFR checkride. Plates, SIDs, STARs, weather, holding speeds, airspace, etc. Study as you would for an Instrument Checkride and you should be fine. Third was the Sim interview. A few approaches to missed and holds. Try and get some practice... Continue reading this interview experience

  3. Jan 03, 2024 HR was very straightforward. Was asked about my times, what got me into aviation, and my base preference. Whole thing lasted 20mins and we just went through the presentation from the website. Technical lasted 90mins and was just like an IR check ride. Talked about departures and approaches from OXC, LWM, and one other major airport in the NE. No "gotcha" questions. Just basic IR questions and briefed several plates. They run it like you're flying a 3-leg trip for Tradewind and just... Continue reading this interview experience

  4. Oct 25, 2023 The interview consists of 3 parts as mentioned above: HR, Technical, and Sim. The HR interview is as mentioned: a brief overview of the company and basic questions surrounding your previous training and experience. The technical was longer. The study guide does a great job preparing you for the interview yet there are some questions that were not mentioned. Smaller more specific basic IFR questions. We then went right into scenario based questions. You are asked to brief approaches and... Continue reading this interview experience

  5. Oct 20, 2023 The HR was pretty straight forward in a form of a PP presentation and they’ll use that to ask you the HR questions along the way. The technical was a bit different, (view the study guide of this website).  definitely study up like an instrument... Continue reading this interview experience

  6. Oct 02, 2023 Notes so far were pretty accurate. Starts off with a slide presentation for the first interview online. Followed by a technical interview which is like a CFII checkride. I would review DP’s and takeoffs minimums. The sim evaluation was straight forward. Might ask you some HR questions and then shoot a couple of approaches. If you accidentally dip below minimums or make huge corrections, just go... Continue reading this interview experience

  7. Sep 25, 2023 HR was straight foward. Technical definitely study like an IFR checkride. And Sim Eval be ready to fly the most sensitive sim ever. Study IFR a lot like plates, departures, enroute, clearances. Be ready to brief plates. Readback clearance and take off minimums. Be familiar with garmin 430 and 530. Be familiar with the Northeast... Continue reading this interview experience

  8. Sep 25, 2023 Hr was straightforward, definitely go over the gouge as most of those questions were asked and then we went in detail over the company and the agreement. Technical wasnt difficult but definitely go over the Approaches, SID, STARs and ODPs for most of Northeast airports. Make sure to read the notes in all of the procedures, the interviewer will give you a scenario with an atis and a clearance, you will most likely need to read the procedures properly to address some issues given in the... 9. Sep 25, 2023 After I applied I received a email inviting me to a virtual HR interview via MS Teams. This email came about a week after my initial application. The HR portion was very straight forward, and the interviewer was very friendly and made me feel welcomed. Its basically a series of slides talking about the company, position, training contract etc. Just be friendly and you will be fine here. I was notified after that I would precede onto the technical, which would take place also via MS Teams two... Continue reading this interview experience

  10. Sep 14, 2023 The interview is conducted in a 3-part process. The HR interview was over Teams, and I was invited to do this less than a week after submitting my application. This one was the least intimidating as they present a slideshow to tell you about the company, the contract, and the flying. After this, the recruiter (who was a PC-12 Captain) asked about my goals, why I wanted to work for Tradewind, and a few TMAAT questions. After this, he told me I passed to the next round-the technical. I was... Continue reading this interview experience
