During my first interview, I was speaking with Brandon who does recruiting for the company. His camera was not on, but mine was. He was very friendly and spoke about the pilot pathway program among other things before we got started with any questions. I was asked to brief an arrival into BNA, along with some other basic IFR stuff. The first interview I feel is more about interpersonal skills and some light technical knowledge. I was told I'd be passed to the second interview before we disconnected. The second interview was different. It was with the Chief Pilot and he did have his camera on. He asked me about Class D airspace dimensions, how wide the runway would be based on the number of threshold...

Went over little HR stuff, he made me simply made me brief over STAR, SID, and ILS KBNA to KCLT. Nothing crazy, and waiting on second interview. Know your commercial and instrument knowledge. Overall, interview went really smooth, and HR made this interview really professionally. Don't think there was a TMMAT question, and a lots of technical question, I think that will be the second one. In my opinion all he trying to see was that if he can fly with me for several hours and days with me,... -

Overall, the interviews are fairly straightforward, and very fair. Make sure you’re up on your SIDS and STARS, and get used to Jepp charts in advance. Good to know anti-icing/de-icing, turbojet functionality, etc. Reference Skywest’s interview study guide, I found that to be the most helpful in preparing. Their pathway is to Skywest, so it only makes sense to reference this. Better to over-prepare than to under, you’re applying for a jet job, jumping the line to a... -

My interview experience closely mirrored what several recent applicants have already shared here, and I found this site incredibly helpful in preparing. I'm happy to pay it forward—even if a small part of me hopes the next person doesn’t outshine me in front of the Chief Pilot! First Interview – HR & Technical The first interview was with Brandon, and it consisted mainly of HR-related questions and casual conversation. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. He also... -

The first interview was with one of Contour Airlines’ pilots. We reviewed my qualifications, and he informed me about the contract that SICs will sign upon hire. He also described the company’s benefits and typical duty days. There was also a short technical portion, which mainly involved reading charts. I described how I would fly a STAR with a specific transition, as well as how I would taxi to the runway after having been given a taxi clearance. The second interview was held... -

First interview is an HR interview. Aligns well with gouge. Follow that and you’ll do just fine! Second interview is a technical. Greg is friendly and asks great questions. The gouge is a good starting point but he will change it up on you. Be prepared. Overall it was a good experience but did not align with my long terms goals. A great experience for Part 135...
