FREE Kalitta Air pilot interview information and gouge

Interview was very similar to what was described. Everyone very nice and welcoming. A Kalitta shuttle picks you up at ~745 am from the Holiday Inn Express. You say a quick 'hi' to the HR room, before they bring you to an upstairs classroom which is basically the holding tank while you wait for the various parts of the interview to take place. This room was very well catered....muffins, croissants, Danishes, fruits, drinks. There were a couple HR folks who were with us the entire day, plus various Kalitta training / management people would pop in periodically to say hi and mingle. There was also a very nice catered lunch from a local sub shop that was delivered at noon. The... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

  1. Mar 09, 2023 The interview was incredibly relaxed and inviting. I was asked HR questions and if I understood the schedule and was ok with where they fly to. I can’t emphasize how friendly the interview... Continue reading this interview experience

  2. Nov 08, 2022 Started with a quick presentation followed by Q&A with some people from HR. After that they called us in one at a time for interviews, most of which lasted for maybe 10-20 minutes. Was asked what I liked and disliked about my current job, what I will do to ensure I make it through training, which airplane i prefer, if im okay with flying into some of these countries, and some general questions about my experience this far in my career. They'll have your resume out with notes, it feels a... Continue reading this interview experience

  3. Sep 13, 2022 They arrive 8:45AM to pick the group up from the hotel. They provided a brief presentation about the company. Then we have a technical test “no big deal”, 30 question (VMCG above or below V1, why Swept Wings is better for speed, ice on the wing, increased or decrease stall speed, etc.) and an attitude indicator test, with joystick and pedal. Then we have the interview part, be yourself and keep relax, they only want to know you,, less than 10 minutes. Prepare yourself with... Continue reading this interview experience

  4. Sep 13, 2022 Short zoom interview with minimal tech questions. The interview was more behavioral type questions. Really enjoyed the experience. Great company and friendly interviewers. Down to earth. They are looking for people who have a real interest in their company. Be genuine be yourself and be real. Research the company and have some questions ready for... 5. Aug 17, 2022 Actual interview was 5 minutes. Asked why I want to work for Kalitta. What fleet I want and when can I start. Compass tests were quite long and challenging. Math, memory test, hand eye coordination (keep flight director and ball centered), verbal reasoning, spatial test (RMI needles) and ATP questions. Try practicing these if you can as it makes it a bit easier. Very laid back and nice people. They want to hire you so just be pleasant and show them that you want to be there too. Good... 6. Aug 16, 2022 Short zoom call with basic HR questions and flight experience. Why Kalitta? Which airframe suites your location best. PANC Very relaxing and made me feel comfortable. Was given a choice of dates for class and allowed one deferral. Was asked no technical questions. It seems they are looking for people who are outgoing and not going to be a problem on long... 7. Aug 15, 2022 Overall low stress low threat interview process as previously described by other interviewees. All candidates were in suits, were professional in appearance, and had obviously prepared for the interview. Interview consisted of three parts, an intro to the company, short resume review and questions, followed by a lengthy Compass test. Interview process started around 8 A.M. with Company van pickup from hotel lobby and ended around 3P.M. Lunch was provided prior to Compass test. First... Continue reading this interview experience

  8. Jun 28, 2022 Interview was very relaxed and strait forward. Kalitta shuttle is right on time from the hotel. A Q&A session with HR lasts all day. Pria paper work and short 5-10 minute one on one interview. General questions about destinations, trading failures. A catered lunch and then a basic 3 hour compass test covering memory, hand eye coordination, math, reading comp, and a personality... Continue reading this interview experience

  9. Apr 26, 2022 Very similar to all the other interviews, show up get introduced to everyone then half the group goes and takes the compass test and the other half sits around and asks questions. They go over all the paperwork stuff then one by one people go into the interview and it takes 5-10 minutes max and they just ask basic questions and any concerns they have about your background. They do lunch and switch the compass test isn't too bad I definitely would prepare for it but even if you feel like you... Continue reading this interview experience

  10. Apr 26, 2022 Absolutely fantastic group of people. Family culture. The computerized testing wasn't anything to really study for or prep for, just get a good night of sleep the night before and maybe brush up on multiplication and long division by hand. Even if you don't finish some of the portions, sounds like most people didn't. Or some people thought they did poorly on it but were hired. They know what they are looking for and want you to get hired if they bring you... Continue reading this interview experience
