Interview was very similar to what was described. Everyone very nice and welcoming. A Kalitta shuttle picks you up at ~745 am from the Holiday Inn Express. You say a quick 'hi' to the HR room, before they bring you to an upstairs classroom which is basically the holding tank while you wait for the various parts of the interview to take place. This room was very well catered....muffins, croissants, Danishes, fruits, drinks. There were a couple HR folks who were with us the entire day, plus various Kalitta training / management people would pop in periodically to say hi and mingle. Applied in later part of Winter, they changed app system so I reapplied in mid Spring . Got the call this month. Class date next month. Waiting on aircraft assignment. Very straightforward. Overall easy experience. I applied late Spring and received a call 2 weeks ago to do the phone screening. Phone screening was pretty standard - talked about why Kalitta, class dates/aircraft, and my experience. I scheduled my interview during the phone screening for 2 days ago. They focus in on organization and job fit. Why Kalitta off the bat and then going to the 16/14 international lifestyle. No tricks or TMAAT type questions. Laid back discussion. Be prepared for a strong Why Kalitta. Do some research on the company and routes. For me, how are you going to transition from a Citation to this? The Director of Standards was very poker faced. He was interested in where my last type was given (FSI). Expect to explain how you’ll transition to heavy jet from mid size. Very laid back. Be ready for "Why Kalitta?". Asked to tell them about my flying at current company. It was short and sweet and no real "gotcha questions". This was a 20 minute Teams interview. I got asked TMA your current role, why Kalitta, how do you think you'll handle the transition from fighters to heavy cargo, and a few "getting to know you" type questions. It was very relaxed and quick. Heard back via email 2 days...
