Interview was very similar to what was described. Everyone very nice and welcoming. A Kalitta shuttle picks you up at ~745 am from the Holiday Inn Express. You say a quick 'hi' to the HR room, before they bring you to an upstairs classroom which is basically the holding tank while you wait for the various parts of the interview to take place. This room was very well catered....muffins, croissants, Danishes, fruits, drinks. There were a couple HR folks who were with us the entire day, plus various Kalitta training / management people would pop in periodically to say hi and mingle. There was also a very nice catered lunch from a local sub shop that was delivered at noon. The... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

May 01, 2024 Very laid back. Be ready for "Why Kalitta?". Asked to tell them about my flying at current company. It was short and sweet and no real "gotcha questions". Overall it was as previously briefed on here. Teams interview with Chief Pilot and HR. "Are you okay flying into dangerous areas?" Just job related... Continue reading this interview experience

  2. Interview sample 2

May 01, 2024 This was a 20 minute Teams interview. I got asked TMA your current role, why Kalitta, how do you think you'll handle the transition from fighters to heavy cargo, and a few "getting to know you" type questions. It was very relaxed and quick. Heard back via email 2 days... Continue reading this interview experience

Apr 10, 2024 Very straightforward, all on Zoom (might have been Teams). Chief pilot, training rep, HR rep. All background and personality stuff. Nothing technical. Got CJO two days later. Told me all hiring right now is for the B744. Asked about why I wanted to be at Kalitta (home basing, international trips). Asked what I like and don't like about my current company (I like the people a lot, but flying is slow and it is not home based so I spend a lot of time on reserve at the crash... 6. Interview sample 6

Dec 08, 2023 The interview experience can be described as being remarkably straightforward and in line with expectations. The questions posed were not overly challenging, adhering closely to what could be anticipated or prepared for, often referred to as "straight from the gouge." The overall tone of the interview leaned towards being relaxed and friendly, emphasizing a "get to know you" approach. Rather than delving into intricate or technical inquiries, the conversation focused on... Continue reading this interview experience

Nov 22, 2023 Super chilled interview. HR and a chief pilot. Quick and to the point. Way more of a personality test. Just simply questions as to why K4. Over within 10 minutes. I got a response within 24 hours of completing the interview. Just know about K4, have some good answers if you’ve ever failed anything or have a gap on your resume. Be professional but have a laugh. It was a great experience. They make you want to work there. The big emphasis seemed to come back to working for a... Continue reading this interview experience

  8. Interview sample 8

Nov 07, 2023 The gouge was spot on. I was interviewed by the chief pilot and HR. They were very professional and the interview was more of a conversation than an interview. I believe I asked more questions than either of them. There was a pre-interview a week earlier where I was asked a list of expected questions. I can not recall them but there would be no need to prepare for them as they were very straight forward standard questions of any interview. As with any interview you need to present... 9. Interview sample 9

Nov 01, 2023 Very relaxed, they just want to know if you’re willing to work in with their kind of flying and roster. 16-17 on and 13-14 off with almost all long haul flying. Aircraft choice is up to you but also depends how soon you want to start so if one is available for a class date sooner and that’s what you want then be sure to mention. Extremely friendly people and all around great experience. No technical questions asked, very basic HR... Continue reading this interview experience

  10. Interview sample 10

Oct 11, 2023 Very Straightforward interviews. First telephone interview with manager of flight standards. Usual HR questions. Mostly get to know you, verify your experience and learn what you are looking for. Second zoom interview set up with HR person and chief pilot a week later. Chief pilot couldn't make it on the day so second interview with HR. Talked through when I could start and answered any questions I had. Formal offer arrived a couple of days later. Super friendly and one of the most... Continue reading this interview experience
